Wukesong is in Beijing's West Fourth Ring Road.
Wukesong, the place name, is located in the west of the West Fourth Ring Road of Beijing, belonging to Haidian District, Beijing. It was originally the tomb of Shaoying, the Qing Governor. There are five ancient pine trees in the tomb, and the surrounding area is desolate, so the locals use this pine tree as a landmark, calling the place "Five Pines".
In 1966, when Beijing Metro Line 1 was built, the original pine trees died. Today, there are still five pine trees planted at the northwest exit of the Wukesong subway station to live up to its name.
The Fourth Ring Road is a ring expressway in the urban area of Beijing, with an average distance of about 8 kilometers from the center of Beijing. Beijing's Fourth Ring Road is a total length of kilometers, with a total of 147 large and small bridges built along the whole line, and complete traffic safety facilities. The main road is two-way eight-lane, fully enclosed, fully interchangeable, and the design speed is 80km per hour.
