How to make the dried flowers of the Blue Enchantress

Many of the flowers we put on a daily basis can be made into dried flowers, especially bouquets that have special meaning for us, which can be stored for a longer time after being made into dried flowers. We can also buy flower petals, dry them and make them into sachets, which is very cheap. The easiest and most natural way is to tie the flowers into bunches and place them in a warm, dry place to dry.

This is what we usually call air-drying. However, some flowers will be deformed and even deteriorate when dried in this way. If you want the flowers to dry longer, you can use a microwave oven to help.

Air-drying Air-drying is one of the simplest and most commonly used ways to make dried flowers, choose a warm, dry, and well-ventilated room, and the indoor temperature should not be lower than 10 degrees Celsius. Well-ventilated cabinets, heated rooms, or penthouses, attics, etc. are all good. Flowers have decorative value during the drying process, so you may want to consider using your bedroom and dining room as a place to dry them.

Perennial wildflowers, hydrangeas, delphiniums, mimosas, tansy and other flowers need to be tied upside down with fine twine and hung upside down on clothes hooks or strings, but be sure to stay away from the wall. Papyrus, lavender, and pampas are dried in large open containers so that they can be spread out in a fan shape. Some flowers can be laid flat on a shelf.

The time of air drying varies with the type of flower, air humidity, and air temperature. In a warm, dry room, delphinium dries out in just two or three days, but in a slightly cooler shed or utility room, it takes eight to ten days. You have to remember to go and smell every two or three days, and if your flowers feel so brittle, you're done.

Microwave dry.

Microwave drying is a new method, characterized by a short time and no need for anything else**. This drying method is suitable for those flowers that can be air-dried, such as herbs, daisies, roses, calendula, etc., and some grasses such as pampas reeds, thistles, papyrus, etc.

The time to dry in the microwave depends on the type of oven and the number of flowers, and some berries are easy to break in the microwave, so first place them in a cool, dry, ventilated place to air dry for at least a week.

Dried Flower Sachets The most commonly used flowers to be made into dried flower bags nowadays include: jasmine, roses, white orchids, gardenias, osmanthus, lavender, osmanthus and vanilla such as lemongrass and perilla.

Roses, lavender and other petals are naturally dried to a certain extent, and the bottle is filled with the scent of roses or lavender by lifting the cap slightly. Wrap and store your favorite scents and enjoy them at any time. To do this, bake the flowers in the oven at 50 to 80 degrees until they are completely dry.

Once the vapor has dissipated, place it in a small glass bottle that has been prepared. It can also be tied with a handkerchief petal.

Sew a cute pouch with a small flower cloth, or make four pouches out of a handkerchief, fill it with dried flower petals and put it in the wardrobe, and it will make all the clothes stained with a floral fragrance. It can also be carried in a carry-on bag.
