The five fundamental afflictions of human beings – greed, hatred, ignorance, slowness, and doubt – will bring about many emotional troubles, so how to use Buddhism to dispel them and create a happy life?
From the point of view of Buddhism, we are sentient beings, and since we are "sentient beings," of course we will have emotions. Most of us have also experienced the pain of not being able to control our emotions, but being controlled by them, and even often making mistakes because of the impulse of emotions, but regretting it afterwards. There are many kinds of feelings:
The first is sentiments, such as those of philosophers, artists, religionists, and politicians. These sentiments are rational and beneficial to man, to the world, and to oneself, and if a person has no sentiments, he is no different from a lower animal.
The second is emotion, which refers to the emotional phenomenon between relatives or people and things that are related to oneself because of likes or dislikes. Although emotions are not as noble as sentiments, if people do not have emotions, they are like plants or minerals. It's just that emotions are selfish, based on one's own joys, sorrows, and sorrows, and can be good or evil, and are not very stable; However, the sentiment is very pure, and very peaceful and stable.
The third is emotion, emotion comes from emotion, when emotion can not be vented and satisfied, there will be shock and distress in the heart, so emotions are generated. Emotions are like waves in a storm, there is no rationality, no regularity, and the fluctuations are very strong, but some people fluctuate very high, and some people are a little lower.

When something doesn't go your way, emotions arise.

The ABC theory of emotions was put forward by the famous American psychology Ellis in 1955, A (activation event) represents the inducing event, B (beliefs) represents some beliefs, perceptions, and explanations of the individual about the event, and C (consequences) represents the result of the first two effects, that is, emotions.
Ellis believes that different people have different emotional experiences of the same event because of B, which is also caused by different perceptions of things.
According to the ABC theory of emotions, if we want to change our emotions and behaviors, we can change our cognition. For example, many people think that marriage and love experts should have a happy marriage from the beginning, and they can't have divorce, if they know that marriage and love experts are because they have slowly learned the true meaning of marriage because they have been exploring in marriage many times, they will feel that it is normal for marriage experts to divorce.
The explanation for this in the neurological community is that the sensory organs transmit the perceived information to the thalamus, and then to the sensory processing areas of the cerebral cortex to form cognition and meaning, and then to the apricot-waking kernel, which determines how to react, and finally informs the brain region and the whole body.
Joseph Ledux, a neuroscientist at NYU's Center for Neuroscience Research, discovered that in addition to neurons in the cerebral cortex, the thalamus has a small lock of neurons connected to the amygdala.
The presence of these locks of neurons allows sensory signals to reach the amygdala directly without passing through the cerebral cortex, and then produce emotions. This shows that there are two ways for emotions to be generated, one is through the sensory processing area of the cerebral cortex, based on thinking and rationality, and the other is an instinctive response, which does not pass through the cerebral cortex and is directly reacted by the amygdala.

The vast majority of psychological researchers agree that human beings have four basic emotions, namely happiness, anger, sadness and fear; 1.Happiness refers to the emotional experience that occurs after a person's desired and pursued goals are achieved, and happiness arises because needs are satisfied, wishes are realized, and psychological urgency and tension are relieved. 2.Anger refers to the emotional experience that occurs when needs are suppressed or hindered and wishes cannot be realized, and when anger increases, tension increases, sometimes self-control is not possible, and even aggressive behavior occurs; 3.
Fear is the emotional experience that occurs when people try to get rid of and escape from a dangerous situation, but are unable to cope with it, so the generation of fear is not only due to the existence of a crisis situation, but also related to the individual's ability to cope with the crisis; 4.Grief refers to the emotional experience that arises when a loved one is lost, or when a dream is shattered; On top of these four basic emotions, numerous complex emotions can be derived, such as disgust, shame, remorse, jealousy, liking, sympathy, etc.

There is a certain biological basis for the occurrence of emotions. The results of the study believe that among its transmitters, there are dozens of active substances that interact with each other, and one of the substances that plays a key role is called serotonin.
Neuropsychologists have discovered that the process of release, inhibition, and reabsorption plays a decisive role in a person's emotional response. The significance of this discovery is that human emotions can be regulated by human factors

How can people alleviate their fear of the unknown or a lack of security in their hearts? I think we still have to have a strong heart, and tell ourselves that we have to have the courage to face some unknown things, and to be able to deal with some difficult things, and we can do some sports when we are afraid, such as swimming, climbing and cycling, and when we do a lot of sports, we sweat and vent our emotions, so that slowly we will not be afraid anymore.

It depends on whether you want to mobilize happy emotions or unhappy emotions. First of all, happy emotions, surprise her, buy a small gift or something, the girl is very coaxing. And then there is the unhappy mood, to be honest, it was too easy, seeing the message and not replying, going to a date to be late, saying how fat she ate, saying that she was ugly and no one wanted it, and wanted to be angry for minutes.
