The door to the room closes, the puzzle murderer dies, and Lynn dies due to the collar detonation, leaving Jeff alone screaming for help. The film ends with a series of retrospectives.

At the end of the movie, the old man says to Adam: Most people are so ungrateful to be alive but not you.
