Articles of Association of Chinese Procurators

The organizational structure of the Chinese Prosecutors Association includes the member congress, the board of directors, the standing council, and the president's office meeting. The member congress is composed of unit members and individual member representatives, and is the highest authority of the China Prosecutors Association. Its main responsibilities are to formulate and revise the constitution of the Association, elect the Board of Directors, elect the Honorary President, and discuss and decide on major matters of the Association.

The Council is formed by the Member Representative Assembly and is the executive body of the Member Representative Congress.

The permanent office of the Chinese Prosecutors Association is the Secretariat. The Secretariat works under the authority of the Secretary-General. The Secretariat is co-located with the Institute of Procuratorial Theory of the Supreme People's Procuratorate.

Formulate plans for procuratorial theory research, organize and coordinate procuratorial theory research activities, assist in convening national annual meetings on procuratorial theory research or regional seminars or training courses on procuratorial theory and procuratorial operations, exchange procuratorial theory research results and operational work experience, organize social surveys, provide suggestions and advisory opinions for procuratorial work, and serve to improve procurators' law enforcement capabilities and law enforcement levels;

China Criminal Law Journal (bimonthly, published at home and abroad), China Procuratorial Forum (bimonthly, internal materials) and other journals; Organize and promote cooperation and exchanges between procurators' associations and other academic groups and departments, and carry out international academic exchanges and friendly exchanges.

The Society of Public Prosecutors of China (SPPC) is an industry organization voluntarily formed by procurators of the Supreme People's Procuratorate of the People's Republic of China, local people's procuratorates at all levels, military procuratorates and other specialized people's procuratorates. The predecessor of the China Prosecutors Association, the China Procuratorial Association, was approved to be established on October 3, 1988. On June 27, 1996, with the approval of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, it was renamed as the Chinese Prosecutors Association.

The professional supervisory unit of the China Procurators Association is the Supreme People's Procuratorate of the People's Republic of China.

The honorary presidents of the Chinese Prosecutors Association are Liu Fuzhi, Zhang Siqing, Han Zhubin, and Jia Chunwang, former procurators general of the Supreme People's Procuratorate. The chairman is Cao Jianming, procurator general of the Supreme People's Procuratorate. The executive vice president is Zhang Geng, executive deputy procurator general of the Supreme People's Procuratorate.

The vice presidents are Qiu Xueqiang, Hu Kehui, Wang Zhenchuan, Zhu Xiaoqing, Sun Qian, Jiang Jianchu, Zhang Changren, Mo Wenxiu, Wang Jianming, Zhao Dengju, Zhao Hong, and Chen Dahao. The Secretary-General is Zhang Zhihui. The executive directors of the association are the president, vice president, secretary general, chief procurator of the provincial people's procuratorate, chief procurator of the military procuratorate, chief procurator of the people's procuratorate of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and the principal responsible persons of the internal organs and institutions directly under the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
