2) Knowing is knowing, not knowing is not knowing, and knowing is also knowing.

Translation: To know is to know, not to know is not to know, this is wisdom.

3) Those who know are not as good as those who are good, and those who are good are not as good as those who are happy.

Translation: He who knows him is not as good as he who loves him, and he who loves him is not as good as he who learns just for pleasure.

4) Threesome, there must be my teacher. Then those who are good will follow it, and those who are not good will change it.

5) Reviewing the past and learning the new can be a teacher.

Translation: A person who reviews to learn what he has mastered and learns to accept new knowledge is enough to become a teacher to others.

6) The year is cold, and then the pine and cypress are withered.

Translation: At the coldest time of the year, I know that the pines and cypresses are the last to wither.

7) No desire for speed, no small profits. If you want to hurry, you will not reach it, and you will not succeed.

Translation: Don't ask for quick success, don't be greedy for small profits. If you want to achieve it quickly, you can't achieve your goal; If you are greedy for small profits, you will not be able to achieve great things.

8) I don't eat all day long, I don't sleep all night, I think, it's useless, it's better to learn.

Translation: I used to go all day without food and sleep all night, and there was nothing good to think about, and it would be better to study.

Zi said: "Learn and learn from time to time, don't you also say? Have friends come from afar, are you happy? People don't know and are not ashamed, and they are not gentlemen? ”

Confucius said, "Xue'er, then review them at a certain time." Isn't it also pleasant? Isn't it also happy to have like-minded people come from afar? People don't understand me, but they don't resent me. Aren't you also morally cultivated people? ”

Zi said: "Reviewing the old and learning the new can be a teacher." ”

Confucius said, "Reviewing old knowledge and understanding new things can become a teacher by this." ”

Zi said: "If you learn without thinking, you will be reckless; If you don't learn, you will die. ”

Confucius said, "If you only read books and do not use your brain to think, you will be confused and gain nothing; If you just blindly dream and refuse to read, you will be mentally tired and have nothing to gain. ”

Zi said: "By! The girl knows it! Knowing is knowing, not knowing is not knowing, and knowing is knowing. ”

Translation] Confucius said: "Zi Lu! Leave it to you to have the right attitude towards what you know and what you don't know! To know is to know, and not to know is not to know, and this is the correct attitude towards knowing and not knowing. ”

Zigong asked: "Why does Confucius call it 'Wen'?" Zi said: "Sensitive and studious, not ashamed to ask, is to call it 'Wen'. ”

Zigong asked, "Why did you give Confucius the nickname 'Wen'?" Confucius replied: "[He] was wise and studied hard, and was not ashamed to ask for advice from those who were inferior to himself, so he was given the nickname 'Wen'." ”

Zi said: "Knowing it silently, learning without getting tired, teaching people tirelessly, what is there for me!" ”

Confucius said, "What has been done for me to remember it without saying it with my mouth, to be dissatisfied with my studies, to teach others tirelessly?" (These are the words of Confucius's self-humility).

Zi said: "If you are a threesome, you must have my teacher; Choose those who are good and follow them, and change those who are not good. ”

Confucius said, "When several people walk together, there must be someone among them who is worthy of my learning; (I) choose their strengths to learn, and if I have their shortcomings, I have to correct them in time. ”

Zi said: "If you are not angry, you will not be angry, you will not be angry, and if you don't use three corners to reverse, you will not recover." ”

Confucius said, "Don't enlighten a student until he tries to understand it but can't." Don't enlighten him until you want to say it but can't.

To give one square horn but not to push out the other three square corners from this class is no longer taught. ”

1. Zi said: Learn and learn from time to time, don't you also say it? Have friends come from afar, are you happy? People don't know and are not ashamed, and they are not gentlemen?

Translation: Isn't it nice to learn to study on time? Isn't it also a joy to have people with the same aspirations come together from afar (to learn from each other and increase their knowledge)? Others don't understand (me), (I) don't get angry, isn't this also a person with both ability and integrity?

Second, Zi said: Knowing is knowing, not knowing is not knowing, and knowing is also knowing.

Translation: To know is to know, not to know is not to know, so it is wise.

3. Zi said: Those who know are not as good as those who are good; The good ones are not as good as the happy ones.

Translation: He who knows (knowledge) is not as good as he who likes (knowledge); People who like (knowledge) are not as good as people who take pleasure in knowledge.

Fourth, Zi said: If you are a threesome, you must have my teacher. Choose those who are good and follow them, and change those who are not good.

Translation: There must be a few people traveling with me, and among them there must be my teacher here. I should choose their strengths to learn from them, and correct their shortcomings (if they have them).

Fifth, Zi said: Reviewing the old and learning the new can be a teacher.

Translation: Reviewing the old (knowledge) and knowing the new (knowledge), you can become a teacher in this way.

Sixth, the son said: The year is cold, and then the pine and cypress are withered.

Translation: When the coldest season of the year comes, then you know that the pine and cypress trees are the last to wither.

Seventh, Zi said: No desire for speed, no small profits. If you want to hurry, you can't reach it; If you see small profits, you can't do big things.

Translation: You can't want to be fast, you can't covet the small profits in front of you. If you want to be fast, you can't reach your goal; If you covet the small interests in front of you, then you can't do big things.
