Bonito insects in the home may have entered from the outside environment. They usually prefer dark and congregate places, such as floors, corners, crevices in masonry, or dust and mustard debris. Therefore, it is likely that it was entered through a door, window or vent.

Patients who are bitten by a large number of midges or have specific heterogeneity may develop angioedema, generalized wheals, and even large ecchymosis.
