The language of the book "Bacon's Essays" is concise, and a short short article can be very beneficial, which is most suitable for people like me who don't like to read long articles and want to get more things. Although it's just: "discuss", "say" and "talk", but when I read it, I feel that there are many things I don't understand!
Maybe it's because it's all about the philosophy of life. So be very savvy! But I still feel like I can read this book whenever I want.
Because "Bacon's Essays" is very popular with readers from all over the world, it is said that many people's personalities have been influenced by this book. Even if you have no money or power in a pluralistic society, as long as you are educated, capable, and healthy, it doesn't hurt to suffer some bad luck. Because bad luck also contains a kind of happiness that makes people excited!
Bacon's words have both broadened people's horizons and made them have an epiphany.
Let me pick one and talk about it! "Talking about reading" is about the three uses of reading: one is to relax the mind, the second is to add interest and elegance, and the third is to enrich the wisdom of talents.
He also said that some books can be tasted beforehand, and some can be swallowed, but a small number of books must be savored and digested slowly. Reading history books makes people wise, reading poetry makes people smart, mathematics makes people sophisticated, physics makes people deep and fine, ethics makes people dignified, and logical reasoning makes people good at argumentation, just as the ancients said that learning is all natural! Not only that, but even the various obstacles of the mind can be solved.
There are suitable recuperation exercises for all diseases in good health.
I think this book is about savoring and slowly digesting tea. You have to read it thoroughly to know the truth of it, and you have to drink it to the end before you can taste the sweetness. Although this is just a collection of essays!
But like a history book, poetry, mathematics, physics, ethics, and logical reasoning, you will be wise, incisive, fine, precise, dignified, and eloquent.

Only when you lose it do you know how to cherish it.
Now, everything in elementary school has left me, and it is difficult to recover.
At first, I felt helpless, often sighed about the passage of time, and felt sorry for the lost elementary school days. Gradually, I began to immerse myself in good memories, reminiscing about the good times in the past, carefully recalling the past and details of every thing in the past, the setbacks again and again, the successes again and again, and the insignificant past between the classmates and teachers, those things that I didn't pay attention to before, let alone put my energy on them, now, but always more than once, in my mind, even if I want to avoid it, I can't avoid it.
If you think about it, I used to complain that time passed very slowly, and I wanted to graduate immediately. Now, I finally got my wish, but there was always a trace of chagrin and helplessness that came to my heart from time to time. I suddenly felt that the past days were really like a white horse, and in the blink of an eye, six years had already left me, and I was only allowed to recall the bits and pieces of the subtle and delicate past.
Writing this, I unconsciously remembered one thing: Once, 5-year-old Xi Murong had a whim one evening and wanted to throw a stone that she liked and cherished very much backwards to see if she could find it, but she couldn't find it, so that she often remembered the stone and the beauty of the stone until she grew up. This may be a very short story, but it tells us a truth:
Sometimes, it is more important to cherish it when it is lost. If it was assumed that Xi Murong had recovered the stone at that time, then the stone might not have been kept for a long time, or maybe Xi Murong would gradually forget about it, then she would not have such good memories of that stone.
My current situation is very similar to Xi Murong's, I have lost what I cherish, and I always remember its beauty. However, now, I am very different from her 5-year-old, because I now understand that although the beautiful primary school years of the past six years have left me, it will always be buried in the depths of my heart, so that I can remember and cherish it more.
Perhaps, all of this corresponds to the saying: sometimes, only when you lose do you know how to cherish more.

Bacon, the great English materialist philosopher, thinker, essayist, scientist (and a failed politician, I think). His "Essays on Bacon" embodies his philosophical thoughts. The ones that impressed me the most were "On Godlessness" and "On the Rise and Fall of Change".
In On Atheism, he pointed out that those who only know a few superficial aspects of philosophy will lead their thinking towards atheism. But a deep understanding of philosophy brings one back to religion. But I don't understand why I should believe in God!
Gods are nothing but stronger creatures. When we are in dire straits, God does nothing. It is true that believing in God gives people a spiritual sustenance, some hope, but so what?
God, Allah, Rulai, are all created by man, and isn't it ridiculous that we ourselves create a so-called God and then believe in Him? God will not bless you, and God will not help you. We can pray, but it's all up to our own efforts.
I don't believe in God, I don't believe in Allah, I don't believe in Rulai. I am faithful to my faith, to justice, to freedom, to order, to hope, to myself. God will tell you that there is heaven, but God will not send you to heaven, never.
On the Rise and Fall of Change is my favorite part because it resonates with me.
This summer, I went to Guilin with my parents, experienced a lot, and when I came back, I found that I had changed, changed a lot. But when you think about it, I haven't changed. I'm still me, I'm still a student, I'm still learning.
Everything in this world is changing, people are changing, things are changing, and the spirit is also changing. But nothing has changed. History repeats itself again and again, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing, Li Shimin, Zhao Kuangyin, Temujin, Zhu Yuanzhang, Nurhachi.
The routine is still the same routine, but the actors have changed. To be honest, I'm tired of it.
The rise and fall of things is like the Taiji diagram of Taoism, from rise to death, from death to rise, and the cycle begins again and again, until death. As mentioned at the beginning of "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", "If you divide for a long time, you will be together, and if you are divided for a long time", there is a truth.
I suddenly remembered the phrase, "Is there anything in this world that is eternal?" Perhaps only change will never change! ”

This is one of Verne's most famous books, and I don't think it is inferior to the most famous Verne trilogy, which chronicles the crazy idea of Barbican, the president of the Cannon Club, and some of the other members of the Cannon Club to build a giant cannon and shoot a "cannonball wagon" to the moon. Such an astonishing idea finally succeeded, using 1,200 furnaces and more than 100 million pounds of cast iron, casting for several months, using 15 days of cooling time, countless times of polishing, casting, and finally making a cannon that shocked the world at that time, that is, the Columbia cannon. It is huge, with a barrel of 500 meters, a thickness of 30 meters, and a weight of about 60,000 pounds. >>>More
