A detailed explanation of the diamond's color grade.
-
At present, it is widely recognized internationally that the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) has established a diamond color grade, but this grade only exists in colorless diamonds, not for colored diamonds.
Grade D: The highest grade of diamonds, pure and colorless, can be called perfect, is the rarest existence in diamonds, and has strong rarity.
Grade E: A high-quality diamond, colorless grade, from which the average person cannot see the color, and only a small number of jewelry experts can identify the color.
F: A high-quality diamond that is slightly lower than E and has difficulty detecting its color unless you are a jewelry expert.
G H: Although it is close to colorless, it has a slightly lighter yellow color on the inside than a colorless high-quality diamond.
Class I J: Still nearly colorless, but also slightly yellow on the inside, which is valuable.
K M grade: The color can be clearly seen by ordinary people, and the color itself is slightly dull, the grade is low, and the fire and gloss are poor.
Because of the wide variety of colors, colors, and compositions of colored diamonds, it is rare to make a detailed division of colored diamonds.
-
There are 23 grades of diamond color, which are indicated by the letters D-Z, with the D color grade being the highest.
Grade D: Completely colorless, the highest color grade, very rare.
Grade E: Colorless, only expert jewelers can detect subtle stains, which are rare diamonds.
F: Colorless, subtle colors that can only be detected by an expert jeweler, but can still be considered "colorless" and are considered high-quality diamonds.
G-H: Nearly colorless, the color is visible when compared to higher grade diamonds, but it is extremely cost-effective.
I-J grade: close to colorless grade, the color is slightly visible, and the cost performance is outstanding.
K-M grade: color visibility grade, not recommended for consumers to buy.
N-Z level: color visibility level, not recommended for consumers to buy.
Identification methods
The single refractive nature of a diamond is determined by the nature of the diamond. Most of the other natural or man-made gemstones are birefractive.
When viewed with 10x magnification, it is easy to see overlapping edges and corners and two underlights at the same time.
Diamond adsorption: Diamonds have a certain affinity for grease and dirt, that is, oil stains are easily adsorbed by diamonds. As a result, touching the diamond with your fingers will feel sticky, and your fingers will seem to have a sticky feeling.
This is something that no gemstone has. This approach requires training to grasp the subtle differences.
The characteristic of a straight line: the surface of the diamond is polished and smooth. A pen dipped in ink is applied to the diamond, and in the case of a real diamond, the surface is left with a smooth, continuous line characterized by a straight line.
Counterfeits are left with lines of small dots, which should be observed with the help of a magnifying glass.
Characteristic diamond luster: Under incandescent light of roughly 100 degrees, it is easy to see which diamond has diamond luster compared to counterfeit products. This method should not be carried out in too dark or too strong light.

The diamond color scale chart is as follows:
1. Grade D: completely colorless. Diamonds have the highest grade of color, perfectly colorless, and have the highest rarity.
2. Grade E: colorless. The trace amount of color in a diamond can only be detected by gem experts, and it is relatively rare.
3. Grade F: colorless. A small amount of color can only be detected by a jewelry expert and is still considered a colorless, high-quality diamond.
4. G H grade: close to colorless. Compared to higher color grade diamonds, they have a slight yellow color and still have a high value.
5. Class I J: close to colorless. Slight colors can be detected. The value is higher.
6. K M grade: the color is visible to the naked eye, the color is dark, the diamond is dull and not bright, few diamonds of this color grade are provided, the color grade is low, the visual effect is poor, and it is not recommended for customers to buy.
Diamond Buying Tips:
1. The color is above H color.
The difference in color span is very large, but generally as the main diamond on the diamond ring, the color grade is best above H color, that is, d, e, f, g, color below is not recommended, because the naked eye can see the yellowish. E, F, and G colors are more recommended to buy.
2. It doesn't hurt if the clarity is a little lower.
Although clarity is one of the important indicators in the 4C, you must not be fooled when choosing a diamond to choose the highest level, and the clarity needs to be observed from the table with a 10 times magnifying glass, which is difficult to see with the naked eye.
3. The weight is more than 50 points.
According to the survey data, about 43% of the people chose to weigh more than 50 points, followed by those weighing 1 carat, which was about 27%. Therefore, more than 50 points to 1 carat can be said to be the most common and mainstream choice.

Diamond color grades are divided into: D, E, F, G-H, and I-J.
1. Grade D
The color of a D diamond is completely colorless, which is the highest grade of the local rock diamond grade. However, diamonds of this grade are very rare, so ** is also very high.
2. Grade E
The colorless grade, if the consumer with the naked eye is completely indistinguishable, only professional gem graders with the help of a special machine, can distinguish the trace elements contained in the diamond, so it is also very rare.
3. Grade F
It is also a colorless grade, and the jewelry appraiser can see that there is almost no yellow element, so it is also a high-quality diamond.
4. G-H grade
Close to the colorless level, the difference can only be seen when compared with high-quality diamonds, so the quality of the diamond is still very high.
5. I-J level
A small amount of yellow can be seen with the naked eye.
