There is a central electrode and a plurality of side electrodes on the distributor cover, and the number of side electrodes is equal to the number of cylinders of the engine.
The fire distributor head is mounted on the camshaft of the distributor and rotates together with the distributor shaft.

As the tip of the rotor passes through each contact, the coil generates a high-voltage pulse. The pulse impinges through the gap between the rotor and the contacts (they are not really in contact) and then continues through the spark plug wire, onto the spark plug of the corresponding cylinder;
3. Spark plugs, commonly known as fire nozzles. Its function is to send a pulse high-voltage electrical discharge from the high-voltage wire (nozzle wire) to break through the air between the two electrodes of the spark plug and generate an electric spark to induce the mixed gas in the gas cylinder. 4. The ignition controller is the actuator of the engine control system, and its function is to control the on-off of the primary winding circuit of the ignition coil through the conduction and cut-off of the internal high-power transistor according to the command signal sent by the microcomputer, so that the ignition coil generates high voltage;
5. The ignition signal generator is a sensor that converts non-electric power into electric power, which converts the angle of the crankshaft of the automobile engine or the position of the piston in the cylinder into the corresponding electrical pulse signal in a certain way, and finally sends it to the electronic controller to control the on-off of the primary circuit and generate an ignition signal;
6. The ECU of the electronic control unit is to calculate, process and judge according to the information input from the sensors of the engine and the data and programs of the memory, and then output the command to control the electronic ignition controller to achieve the purpose of accurately controlling the ignition of the engine.
