Wu Zetian (February 17, 624, December 16, 705) was of Han nationality. He also rewarded farmers and reformed the rule of officials.

From the reign of Wu Zetian to the establishment of Wu Zhou, local wars with neighboring countries rose and fell, with Wu Zhou's victories being the majority. During Wu Zetian's 15-year reign, he basically maintained the unity of the empire.
