Northeast China includes cities in Liaoning, Jilin, and Heilongjiang provinces, as well as parts of Inner Mongolia and Hebei. The Northeast region is a geographical and cultural region and an economic region, not an administrative region, and the three northeastern provinces are also known as the "three provinces of Yuqin East", which are the three administrative regions after the end of the Qing Dynasty in Northeast China, and have nothing to do with the northeast region in geography and culture.

Historically, the Northeast region was under the general administration of Shengjing during the Qing Dynasty, and later divided into three generals, Shengjing (Liaoning), Jilin and Heilongjiang, and before and after the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was governed by the Northeast Bureau of the Communist Party of China and the people of Northeast China.

North China, South China, East China, and Central China are divided according to China's geographical regions.

South China is located in the southernmost part of China. It is bordered by Central China to the north and East China, and to the south the vast South China Sea and Nanhai Zhudao, and the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
