Through this internship, we learned about thyristor devices, how to use a multimeter to measure the three stages of a thyristor, and use the measured data to judge the polarity.
Our internship is divided into two steps, the first step is to remove the original parts of the circuit board soldered by other classes, use a multimeter to measure, calculate and compare, to see which components are good, can continue to be used, which are damaged, and continue to use the good ones, so as to achieve the purpose of recycling. The second step is to re-solder according to the circuit diagram. Welding is a very important technology, and it is necessary for a student majoring in electrical engineering.
The quality of soldering is related to the quality of an electronic product. In the process of welding, it is easy to appear virtual welding, collapse, circuit short circuit and other problems. When soldering the circuit, it is necessary to consider the wiring of the components, and how to route will affect the beauty and quality of the circuit board.
Our internship was about welding unipolar thyristor trigger circuits, using monopole transistors, which are also made of semiconductor materials. The thyristor needs to meet two conditions for the conduction, one is the anode plus the forward voltage, and the other is that the gate is triggered. Be especially careful when welding components, don't be sloppy, a sloppy will make mistakes, especially the voltage regulator, thyristor and unipolar transistor, the three pins of the unipolar transistor are soldered wrong, and the trigger waveform will not be generated when observed after power-on, and it will not meet the requirements of the practice.
I encountered this situation when soldering the circuit, after the soldering is completed, after the power is on, I use the oscilloscope to observe the waveform of each point, and the waveform of the other points is normal, that is, there is no trigger waveform at the trigger output. After the power failure, I checked the soldered circuit board according to the circuit diagram, and found that there was no soldering error in other places, that is, the three-stage welding of the unipolar transistor was reversed, I removed it and soldered it again, and then turned on the power, which is the waveform of the measurement output point.
Although the internship time is short, it is more than the knowledge learned in the classroom, because it is a combination of book knowledge and hands-on ability, as the saying goes, practice brings the truth, and only by doing it can we consolidate and master the knowledge learned. Through this week's internship, my welding skills have improved again, and there are fewer places that were prone to virtual welding. Now I have a better understanding of power electronics, which plays a very important role in the transmission of high-voltage electricity.
