An arhat is a man of ability.

When he was a child, Luohan loved to sleep the most, he could fall asleep anywhere, and he slept for several days, and he couldn't wake up when he screamed.

Growing up, he still likes to sleep. He first went to find a janitor's job, but when he woke up, everything in the warehouse he was guarding was gone. He found another job as a driver, and when he drove it, he dozed off, and no one dared to sit in his car.

So, he took another job picking apples, and when everyone was done picking, they couldn't find him, and found him asleep in the apple tree, still snoring.

He couldn't find a job, what kind of work could sleep do, it didn't seem to be.

How did he become a sleeping Arhat? Just like to sleep can't make an arhat.

After losing his job, he felt that it was not a way to sleep all the time, that he could not work or live. He began to train himself to sleep and wake up whenever he wanted. Sleep as long as you want, and wake up whenever you want.

So, he could watch the night shift, work as a policeman, be a night driver, and sleep became his skill.

One night, everyone slept soundly, and suddenly there was a ** in the village, and everyone didn't know, only the sleeping Luohan was awake, and he was always awake when everyone was asleep. He woke everyone up, put out the fire, and this time he saved everyone.

From then on, everyone called him to sleep only as an Arhat.

Sichuan Shifang Luohan Temple is the main temple of the Rinzai sect of Zen Buddhism, and is the ordination of the eighth generation patriarch of Zen Buddhism, Daoyi Zen Master, and the place of the Dharma in his later years.

Matsu advocated that the Tao does not need to be cultivated, or that it should be cultivated at will. That is, the mind is a Buddha – non-mind is not a Buddha – the ordinary mind is the Tao, which is the general program of his Buddha-nature thought and practice. He put into practice the doctrine of "epiphany", replacing the tradition of reading sutras and sitting in meditation, and prompting Zen monks to generally renew the concept of Zen.

There are 500 Arhats in the east and west compartments of the Luohan Temple, the form of each orange is different, the fun is full of life, it is like a thousand beings in the world, this year's Spring Festival has a fate with all the Arhats, and has seen the statues of the Arhats in a thousand forms.
