Buddhism has three Buddhas: all Buddhas in the past, present, and future. It is said that the past Buddha is the Buddha of the past and other seven Buddhas of the past, or specifically refers to the Buddha of the lamp, the present Buddha is Shakyamuni Buddha, and the future Buddha is Maitreya Buddha.

The Book of Wisdom and Foolishness, Volume 3, Poor Girl Nantuo Pin, in the past, there were only ninety-one eons of two monks, and there was a great king in Yan Futi, named Bo Seqi. The king has the crown prince's name Lena Zhizhi (i.e., Bao Bun), and he became a monk and became a Buddha. When the bhikshu Alimira lit a lamp every day to make offerings to the Buddha, the Buddha was a monk who gave a note to the bhikshu and told him to become a Buddha in the future, and the name was set as the light as it came.

The Ninth Theory of Great Wisdom says: "If you are a lamp Buddha, everything around you is like a lamp when you are born, so you are called the prince of the lamp." The Buddha is also known as the lamp, and the old name is the Buddha of the ingot light.

Regarding the calamity of the appearance of this Buddha, the "Zengyi Ahan Sutra" volume 13, the "Buddha Book Collection Sutra" volume 3 heart offerings, etc., only talk about the past long eon; The volume of "The Beginning of the Cultivation Book" and the volume of the "Prince Rui Ying Book of the Beginning of the Sutra" are said to have been in the past ninety-one eons.

Maitreya Bodhisattva (Sanskrit maitreya), transliterated as Cishi, transliterated as Mei Lai Liye, Mei Tan Li Medicine, one of the eight great Bodhisattvas of Buddhism, often called Ayita Bodhisattva in Mahayana Buddhist scriptures, is the successor of Shakyamuni Buddha, and is often honored as Maitreya Buddha. So, what did this noble ancient Buddha go after his death? Will he ever return to the real world?

Passing the position to the newcomer.

And after the death of these ancestors of ten thousand Buddhas, they will go to a new world, a world that only a Buddha can comprehend, and the same is true of the ancient Buddha.

In the postquel of Journey to the West, if you come to see Wutian, you choose to be reincarnated, so you can come back, and the ancient Buddha of the burning lamp is really dead, and it really no longer exists, so I couldn't return to Lingshan.

Because only after the ancient Buddha really passed away, can he obtain the relics. He may have gone to another world.

The ancient Buddha of the Burning Lamp is the Buddha of antiquity, and it is the Buddha who gave instructions to Shakyamuni Buddha in the past.

Burning the lamp, "When he was born, everything around him was like a lamp, so he was called the prince of the lamp." Being a Buddha is also known as burning a lamp". The Buddha of the Burning Lamp gave a record to Shakyamuni Buddha in his past life, and the "Diamond Sutra" cloud:

A good man, in the next life, you should be a Buddha, called Shakyamuni".

Nyorai: The actual meaning of Nyorai is: to attain enlightenment by taking the path of truthfulness.

For example, "in the Buddhist scriptures, it is called the absolute truth, and the Buddha is the sage who has mastered the absolute truth and came to the world to speak the Dharma in order to benefit all sentient beings." For example, calling Shakyamuni Buddha or Shakyamuni Nyorai is the same. But it would be a mistake to call Shakyamuni the Buddha.

Because the name of the Buddha and the Buddha is the common name of all Buddhas, it does not mean that it is a certain Buddha, just as calling a person is not a person. There are ten titles of Buddha, and "Nyolai" is one of them.
