The Buddhist lotus lantern is generally placed to the left of Guanyin.
In Buddhism, the lotus lantern is dedicated to the Buddha and therefore should be placed to the left of Guanyin. In Buddhism, the left position is dedicated to the Buddha, while the right position is dedicated to the Bodhisattva. Therefore, the lotus lantern should be placed to the left of Guanyin.
It should be noted that when offering lotus lanterns, one should be respectful and not placed at will. At the same time, regular cleaning and maintenance should be carried out to keep the Buddha statue clean and intact.

If there is only one, put it in the middle; If you have to put both sides, then put the right side, Buddhism.

The lotus lamp resembles a lotus, the lotus lamp is one of the various lamps of Buddhism, dedicated to Guanyin Dashi, generally for the shirt of the imperial book of Buddhism or macro, the lotus is a very noble, sacred thing, and the "Taishō Tibet" classic says, the lotus has four virtues, one incense, two pure, three soft, four lovely. Therefore, the lotus flower undertook the mission of Buddhism to dismantle the eggplant.
-
It is definitely not appropriate to put a lotus flower on Guanyin's head, and the words of the lotus are under Guanyin Bodhisattva, and it is his seat. So it's upside down on the head, and it's definitely not appropriate.
-
It is not suitable to put a lotus flower on the head of Guanyin Xiao, if you say that you are in a portrait of Guanyin Bodhisattva, it is still okay to put a lotus flower at the foot next to it.

Good. There are five things to worship the Buddha and Bodhisattva, namely: flowers, lamps, incense, water, and fruits. Therefore, it is good to put a lotus flower next to Guanyin Bodhisattva.
In addition, friend, maybe you only know about the Dharma, offering incense, offering and worship, then I will explain the relevant Dharma for you in detail, I hope it can help you.
In fact, we worship the Buddha and Bodhisattva, incense, offering, and praying for good luck, which is only one aspect of our belief in Buddhism and learning Buddhism, and more importantly, it is also more important to pay attention to it, which is to practice the Buddha's teaching to us: do not do all evil, and practice all good. If you can correct your mistakes, do good deeds, and be a good student of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will be very happy when they know about it, and you will have good fortune because of it!
One of the things that is easy to be overlooked in doing good deeds is filial piety to our parents, and Buddhism tells us that our parents are our greatest blessings. Filial piety to our parents can accumulate good fortune for us, while unfilial piety will undermine our good luck. In fact, not in terms of personal luck, it is because our parents brought us up with hard work, and we should be filial.
Confucius said that the most difficult thing to be filial to one's parents is "erotic difficulty", that is, it is difficult to be kind to one's parents, so we must treat our parents with tenderness, speak softly, and do not speak fiercely.
Finally, I would like to ask for an introductory book on Buddhism to learn more about Buddhism. We believe in Buddhism and learn Buddhism, not only to burn incense, kowtow, and make offerings, but also to have a lot of very good and useful Buddhist knowledge worth learning. Go for practice.
On the one hand, our blessings and luck can be blessed by the Bodhisattva, and more importantly, we can rely on ourselves to learn the Dharma, practice the Dharma, and do good deeds and accumulate virtues.
The book suggests "Understanding Buddhism" written by Master Jingkong, Buddhism explains the origin of our world, the destination of life, the meaning, and how we can get happiness from suffering, which is very worthy of our learning. This book can be pleased in the temple.
The Dharma talks about the destination of life, which is very important to us, we are human beings now, so what about the next life, what will become of the next life? Can you be happy in the afterlife? Or is it painful?
Is there an eternal way to make oneself happy and for all sentient beings to be happy? This is discussed in detail in the Dharma).

In front of the Buddha, light lamps, light oil lamps, light candles. Now light the light, the light can't show the law. What is the method of oil lamps and candles? Burn yourself and shine on others. I.
We have to make sacrifices and dedication to society and to all living beings, which means this. You look at candles, burn yourself, shine on others; Oil lamps too. What is burning yourself? The oil dried slowly. Take that meaning! Candles, incense, the more you burn.
The better, wrong! If you burn too much, you will get sick when you breathe. So the meaning is wrong!
As long as one good incense, only a pair of candles, and only one oil lamp, the expression is legal! What are you burning so much for? The house is blackened, how can you be worthy of the Buddha and Bodhisattva!
The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas didn't even have a clean place to live, and they lived in a miasma of smoke. Therefore, these misunderstandings have been around for a long time, and people cannot be blamed for the fact that they have accumulated into today's misunderstandings in two or three hundred years.
So Buddhism is all teaching, you see candles, burning incense is education. Burning incense is particularly important in China, for fear that you will forget. The monks burn incense scars on the top of their heads, which makes you touch your head every day and remember that you once made this vow - to sacrifice yourself.
As a person, have you done it? In the householders, incense is burned on the back of the hand, and I have often seen that I have sworn that I cannot lie. This intention is here, and this merit will be great, and the meaning will be deep.
This burn of mine is for the Buddha, what do you take to make an offering to the Buddha? Burning a few more shows that I sincerely make offerings to the Buddha, you see, the meaning is all wrong!
Offering to the Buddha, the Buddha is to ask you to study seriously, continue the Buddha's wisdom, and promote the Dharma and benefit the living, which is called offering to the Buddha. Let Buddhism be passed on from generation to generation.

Because this is called in the Huayan Sutra"Bodhicitta lamp"。It is the great compassion as a friend, the great faith as the dwelling, the great light of wisdom that opens up, and this is called the bodhicitta lamp. Great compassion is the foundation, and when you develop bodhichitta as a lamppost, you will open up the great prajna light, the hollowness, so the great compassion, the bodhichitta and the hollowness, these are the three kinds of minds that become Buddhas.
It is also mentioned in the Bodhisattva Sutra: 'Light ten thousand lamps to extinguish the sins of all'. Immersed in the six realms, we light the lamp that symbolizes light and wisdom in front of the Buddha, mainly in the hope that through the light of wisdom of the Buddha and Bodhisattva, we will have wisdom in our hearts and achieve our wisdom parami as soon as possible.
Huayan Sutra: 'Wisdom lamps can break through all darkness', lighting lamps has become a form of offering since the time of the Buddha. Among the ten offerings (incense, flowers, lamps, paint, fruits, tea, food, treasures, beads, clothing), lamps are essential.
The lamp symbolizes light and wisdom. Because the hearts of sentient beings are hindered by ignorance, they should light a lamp in front of the Buddha and pray that the light will shine through the dark world in their hearts.
Heat the bamboo for half an hour, then take it out and dry it in a cool place, but it should not be overly dry or exposed to strong light. Then the rough skin is scraped and the bamboo strips are cut (the desired length depends on the size of the lantern). Then, according to the weaving method, the lamp stand is completed in a cross way, and several circles of bamboo strips should be tied in the middle of the lamp stand on the lamp wall. >>>More

Wang Zumin once wrote an article "The Chinese Cultural Significance of the Lotus Imagery", which said: Stepping into the temple, the Bodhisattva with low eyebrows and a smile is on the lotus seat; Guanyin, who rescued the suffering, stepped on the flowers and sprinkled the rain on the fire house. The good books printed in the dojo are readily available in the arcade outside the storefront, and the red lotus on the cover is accompanied by low-hanging lotus leaves, which is less gorgeous and beautiful in the lake and pond, and more kind and holy. >>>More
The lotus flower means that the mud is not stained, although it saves sentient beings in reincarnation, and is not stained by the negative karma of greed, hatred, ignorance, etc. in samsara. Gassho is generally a sign of respect, although it saves sentient beings, but respects sentient beings, unlike the powerful people in the world, when they have the ability to help others, they are high and arrogant.
Poverty can be divided into two kinds, one is intellectual poverty, which is of course deplorable. The other is material poverty, which, in my opinion, is man's greatest wealth. >>>More
