You can pay tribute to the Bodhisattva and worship the Buddha and Bodhisattva, every day. This is to bring good fortune to oneself.
Friend, what kind of offerings did you use? Offerings can be used: flowers, lamps, incense, water, fruits.
Meat is not to be used, and it is not allowed to be killed for the sake of offering. In some places, killing beings to offer to the Buddha, this is actually not right, the Buddha and Bodhisattva are so merciful and compassionate that they can't bear to see animals suffering from killing and taking their lives.
In addition, we believe in Buddhism, learn Buddhism, and worship Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are only one of the aspects, and what we need to pay more attention to is to practice the teachings of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to us: do not do all evil, and practice all good. If you can correct your mistakes, do good deeds, and be a good student of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will be very happy when they know about it, and you will have good fortune as a result!
Among the good deeds, there is a great good deed, which is also easy for us to ignore, that is, filial piety to our parents, filial piety to our parents can accumulate good fortune for us, and unfilial piety will detract from our good luck. Confucius said that the most difficult thing to be filial to one's parents is "erotic difficulty", that is, it is difficult to be kind to one's parents. So we have to be gentle with our parents, and we should speak softly and not in a fierce tone.
Finally, I would like to ask for an introductory book on Buddhism to learn more about Buddhism. When we believe in Buddhism and learn Buddhism, we don't just burn incense and kowtow, but also have a lot of very good and useful Buddhist knowledge worth learning. Go for practice.
On the one hand, our blessings and luck can be blessed by the Bodhisattva, and more importantly, we can rely on ourselves to learn the Dharma, practice the Dharma, and do good deeds and accumulate virtues.
The book suggests "Understanding Buddhism" written by Master Jingkong, Buddhism explains for us the root of the world's blessings and woes, the destination of life, the meaning, and how we can get happiness from suffering, which is very worthy of our learning. This book can be pleased in the temple.
The destination of life that Buddhism talks about, we are human beings now, so is there an afterlife, and what will become of the next life? Is there eternal life? Also, Can you be happy in the afterlife?
Or is it painful? Is there a way to make yourself happy and all sentient beings happy? This is discussed in detail in the Dharma).

The ninth day of the ninth month of the lunar calendar is the ascending day of the immortal family. It is said that it is the day of climbing, but it is better to say that it is the day of inspection in the fairy gate. Generally, on the ninth day of September of the lunar calendar, the animal body immortal family will climb to the highest peak of the mountain and the house, waiting for the auspicious time to arrive, the gate of heaven is wide open, the gate of heaven is beating, reborn, and the true body is proven.
On the ninth day of September, it is also the birthday festival in the fairy gate, and the earth horse Xiangtong can ask the old fairy family in the hall for longevity, luck, stars and so on.

The ninth day of the ninth month of Taoism is the Double Ninth Festival, which is a traditional festival of the Chinese nation. In the Book of Changes, "nine" is set as the number of yang, and on September 9, the two nines are overlapping, so it is called "double yang"; Because the sun and the moon are all nine, it is also called "heavy nine". The ancients believed that the Double Ninth Festival was an auspicious day.
In ancient times, people had the customs of climbing high to pray for blessings, enjoying chrysanthemums in autumn, wearing dogwoods, worshipping gods and ancestors, and drinking feasts for longevity during the Double Ninth Festival. Inherited so far, it has added connotations such as respect for the elderly, and enjoyed a banquet on the day of Chongyang to be grateful and respect for the elderly. Climbing to appreciate autumn and thanksgiving and respecting the elderly are the two important themes of today's Chung Yeung Festival activities.
1. Bask in autumn. The Chung Yeung Festival is the best time to enjoy autumn, and there are still some mountain villages in southern China that retain the characteristics of "basking in autumn". Going to the countryside to appreciate folk customs and watch the autumn has become a fashion for rural tourism. "Basking in autumn" is a typical agricultural phenomenon with strong regional characteristics.
2. Put paper kites.
Releasing paper kites is the main custom of celebrating the Chung Yeung Festival in the south. The folk Double Ninth Festival is mainly characterized by paper kites. Guangxu's "Huizhou Mansion Chronicles" is also described. Paper kites are also kites now. In folk tradition, in addition to ascending, the release of paper kites is also a feature of the Chung Yeung Festival.
3. Ascend. The custom of climbing during the Chung Yeung Festival has a long history. There are roughly four origins of the custom of ascending:
One is the mountain worship that originated from the ancients; the second is the climate that originates from "clean air rises and turbid gas sinks"; the third is derived from the "resignation of the youth"; The fourth is derived from a ridiculous legend attached to the meeting, "Huanjing Mountaineering to avoid disasters".
4. Worship ancestors. The Double Ninth Festival is one of the four traditional ancestor worship festivals in China, and ancient folk have always had the tradition of worshipping ancestors and praying for blessings. With the development and evolution of history, the concept of family and ancestor worship in many places is gradually weakening.
In ancient times, the traditional custom of worshipping ancestors in the Chongyang Festival was still prevalent in the Lingnan area, and people would hold ancestor worship activities during the Chung Yeung Festival every year. Whether it is ancestor worship activities or climbing high and far-reaching, its most fundamental role is to enhance people's sense of cultural identity and strengthen the cohesion of family and society.
5. Dogwood.
In ancient times, the custom of ninety-nine dogwood was popular, so it was also called the dogwood festival. Dogwood is a kind of fruit that can be used as traditional Chinese medicine, because the quality of dogwood produced in Wuyue (now Jiangsu and Zhejiang) is the best, so it is also called Wu Dogwood. The ancients believed that on the day of the Double Ninth Festival, climbing and planting dogwood can repel insects, remove dampness, and chase away evil spirits.
So they put dogwood on their arms, grind them in sachets, and stick them on their heads.

Chung Yeung Festival When I was a child, there was a poem on September 9, remembering the Shandong brothers -- alone in a foreign land as a stranger, thinking of relatives every festival. The remote knowledge brothers ascended to the heights, and there was one less person in the dogwood.
There are three theories about this holiday.
1. According to the "Continuation of Qi Harmonic Records": Huan Jing of the Han Dynasty traveled with Fei Changfang, a master of "Yi", for many years. One day, Master Fei told his apprentice that on September 9, he should be tied to the dogwood to ascend the height, and Huan Jing and his family survived because they obeyed the master's words, and all the livestock that could not be evacuated died of the plague.
Therefore, it is a habit to go out on September 9 every year to avoid disasters and avoid disasters.
2. Taoism originated from the Han Dynasty. In the Taoist "Book of Changes", which is regarded as a classic, the odd number is regarded as a yang number, and the even number is regarded as a yin number, and the "nine" in the yang number is also regarded as the "extreme yang", and the ninth day of September is the meeting of two "extreme yang", so it is called "double yang". Yang also means steel, Chongyang is "two steel meet" and overcome each other, so it is regarded as "bad day", ascending and dogwood, the purpose is to "relieve misfortune", Chongyang custom comes from this.
3. Originated from Qi Jinggong in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period in the fifth century BC. On the ninth day of the ninth month of September, he took many people to climb the high mountains and climb the city walls, feeling the autumn high air and refreshing, and his heart was relaxed, so he decided that it was an auspicious day. After that, he had to go out and climb on this day every year. Later generations imitated it and formed customs.
But historians and folklorists have not yet decided which of these three claims is true.
September 19 is National Science Day.
On June 29, 2003, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the official promulgation and implementation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Popularization of Science and Technology, the China Association for Science and Technology carried out a series of popular science activities nationwide in order to set off an upsurge of publicity and implementation of the Law on Science Popularization throughout the country.
