For example, insist on English early reading training once a week, English week activities once a month, and English speaking competition once a year. In addition, it also organizes English word competitions, English textbook drama performances, English reading competitions, English hand-copied newspaper competitions, and so on.
In order to motivate students, we also set up an English column on the school radio station, and often post students' excellent English assignments on the school display board and publish them in the "Qunying Daily", so that all students in the school can learn and progress together. Nowadays, the school has hosted the English seminar for the county's primary school graduating class for two consecutive years, and actively organizes students to participate in various English speaking and English knowledge ability competitions at all levels every year.
The development of these activities enriches students' spare time, creates an atmosphere of English learning, stimulates students' interest in learning English, improves students' comprehensive quality, and greatly promotes our English teaching. At present, our school's English teaching has been prominent in the county, and in the past few years, the English scores of most grades of our school have ranked first in the county in the final quality inspection. In April 2010, in the "Hope Star English Style Competition" organized by the Municipal Academy of Education and Science, two students from our school won the first prize of the "Chenzhou Division Primary School Group", and four students won the second prize.

Therefore, starting from the next semester, the school plans to add another English class per week for each grade.
At the same time, English is a practical and communicative subject, and the main purpose of English teaching in our primary school is to stimulate students' interest in English learning and communicate in practice. Therefore, we will continue to make great efforts to make our classes "active" and English "life".
