The Imprint Rural Creative Design Competition is an important part of the Imprint Rural Cultural Project. The project is a comprehensive work to implement the deployment and requirements of the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy, under the guidance of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, with nostalgia as the link and cultural activities as the carrier, to mobilize social forces to help the construction of rural revitalization, including the construction of imprinted rural archives, imprinted rural tours, imprinted rural cultural creativity, etc. In 2020, with the strong support of the relevant departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Rural Economic Research Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Shangnong Think Tank jointly held the theme activity of the Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival "Imprint Rural Harvest Journey", and held a variety of activities to help the construction of hometowns in Yanqing, Beijing, Shandong Plain, Zhuhai, Guangdong and other places, and achieved good results.
This competition was held on this basis at the request of all sectors of society. The theme of this year's competition is "Exploring the Traces of Farming Culture and Designing a Better Life in the Future". According to Dr. Yuan Xueguo, Secretary-General of Shangnong Think Tank, the competition focuses on the actual needs of rural revitalization, highlighting the integration of traditional excellent local culture such as agricultural cultural heritage, rural intangible cultural heritage, and pastoral landscape with modern production and life.
The entries should not only contain rural cultural elements, but also conform to the direction of urban and rural residents' pursuit of a better life, and are divided into four units: rural outdoor public environment design, rural indoor public environment design, rural product design and packaging, and rural digital creative design, covering rural communities, traditional villages, rural scenic spots, rural museums, rural theme homestays, rural theme catering spaces, food and packaging, daily necessities and packaging, digital advertising and other creative design fields. Participants are divided into university group and social group, as long as they are Chinese citizens over the age of 18 or legal entities registered in China, they can submit entries through the official website of Imprint Village.
