When the Buddha was alive, there was no such thing as tantra. It's just a difference in the depth of the truth. There is only one purpose of teaching different levels of truth to different people, that is, to let people understand the fundamentals and essential nature of life.
The truth is not a secret, but some people can't understand it. It's like university knowledge, which is incomprehensible in kindergarten. But not a secret.
As kindergarten children grow older and progress in their studies, they will slowly enter the university level. Moreover, the Sutra Tantra is not the current Sutra Tantra. The Fa is the knowledge of the truth, and the Sect is the sect of the religious portal.
There are sutras and tantras, and in the same way tantras have sutras and tantras. Primary knowledge is the manifestation of the Dharma. Enlightenment is tantra.
Regardless of the denomination, it is the same.

The secret method must be rigorous, because the power of the secret method is incredible, such as the content of the Luban Sutra, which can not only help the world but also punish dissidents, if there is another Shen Gongbao, it is not easy to clean up,

There could be a number of reasons why Tantra was not widely spread during the Buddha's lifetime, but here are some possible factors:
1.Inheritance restrictions: At that time, the tantric lineage was strictly limited by the transmission of master and disciple, which greatly limited the scope of the transmission of these tantric teachings.
2.Sectarian differences: At that time, there were different sects and schools of thought within Buddhism, and there were also differences in the understanding and practice of Tantra, which could make it difficult for Tantra to be widely recognized and practiced.
3.Social background: At that time, Indian society generally held a prejudiced and incomprehensible attitude towards Tantra, believing that Tantra was a mysterious, ineffable empirical theory that lacked scientific basis and social recognition.
4.Historical changes: As time passed, sectarian strife within Buddhism subsided, but the lineage of Tantra also changed, making it difficult for people to understand and accept.
In conclusion, there are many reasons why Tantra was not widely propagated during the Buddha's lifetime, including the influence of lineage, sect, society, history, and other factors.

What are the new understandings of the Buddha's teachings+ about the Buddha's teachings?
Hello, happy to answer for you! The Buddha's biography+ has the following new understanding of the Buddha's teachings: From the book, we know that the Buddha was never a god, but a person.
Like us, he suffered, confused, had wives and children, but he embarked on the path of cultivation alone, leading and teaching sentient beings the path to liberation after becoming a Buddha. Like everyone else, he sat on the floor to eat, put away the dishes after eating, cleaned his body and washed and changed his clothes, and fell asleep after meditating late at night.

The Ontology emphasizes the importance of practice, because it is only through the practice and practice of the balance that the individual can attain true liberation and enlightenment. Other merits, while also qualities of the Buddha, are emphasized in this context the crucial role of practice in leading beings to liberation.

I'll try to answer:
First, let's talk about the issue of time, which is actually imaginary, general rather than concrete, and secondly, the concept of time and space in Buddhism is based on the state of our own body and mind, not in terms of a single standard concept. For example, when we make a notice after landing on the moon, we use the concept of time as the Earth's revolution and rotation time, and we will not suddenly announce it in terms of the moon's cycle time. Everyone has their own pure land in their hearts, and everyone has their own hell in their hearts, and their understanding of each other is not necessarily the same.
A1: Different Pure Land worlds are all manifestations, and they all have their own mature causes and values, so if you have attained the Buddha's teachings, one world covers all worlds, so why should there be a difference between each mind? Don't think that the Pure Land of the West is the pursuit of immeasurable longevity, that refers to the virtue and wisdom of the Buddha, not to the sentient beings who are reborn there, where there is only practice, and when the practice is achieved, you will get enlightenment, **What is the concept of "longevity"?
All Pure Lands appear for the purpose of attaining wisdom liberation and enlightenment, and in fact, they are the needs of our own hearts, acting on our respective mental habits, not any superiority or inferiority, or which is easier to become a Buddha.
Answer 2: All practice is self-interest and altruism, but the order of practice must first complete self-enlightenment, and a bodhisattva cannot produce bodhisattva behavior without self-enlightenment, and a Buddha would not have achieved it without realizing self-realization. Don't think that having a bodhisattva in your heart is even a practice, but if you don't have your own correct views and correct thinking, you can't be enlightened and liberated, how can you guide and help others?
Blindness leads to blindness, and I don't know where it will point. Therefore, in Buddhism, it is called self-realization, and it is not just about self-interest or altruism, but it is all said together. Jizo Bodhisattva's great vow does not mean that he does not become enlightened, but that he does not need to do it for the fruit of this enlightenment, and that the process of proving this fruit is as important as the result, and this is the true great vow.
Nowadays, many people who are not serious say that Hinayana must only talk about self-interest, and Mahayana must be necessarily altruistic, but in fact, the real thing needs to be judged after self-awakening.
Answer 3: Meeting a Buddha is just an aid to becoming a Buddha, which is equivalent to meeting a good teacher in school and a good guide in life, but no matter how good a teacher is, there is no way to meet students who are unwilling to learn, and every excellent teacher is not necessarily a talent. All of them are not worthy of meeting Maitreya Buddha to achieve the fruition of life and death.
The Buddha could not do it when he was alive, and it will be the same when the Buddha is alive in the future.

1 The Twelve Great Tribulations should refer to the time of the Sampa world. Because the definition of the Great Tribulation is: A 3,000 worlds that have experienced a complete form of dwelling and bad emptiness is a great eon, and the land of Elysium has not become a dwelling and bad emptiness, then it does not matter about the eons.
2 There are many pure lands, and there are many special pure lands. The Western Elysium, the Eastern Glass World, and the Inner Courtyard of Tushi are all very powerful places to go. The key is to have sufficient resources so that any Pure Land can be reborn.
Just like a well-known scientist, European and American countries can travel with a visa at will. Therefore, if you take the pure vows, sow a wide range of blessings, and practice diligently to stop the contemplation of desires, even if you make a vow to go to hell, you will be present in the Pure Land at the end of your life.
3 It is more realistic and reliable to have the grasp of attainment first, and then to sentient beings, of course. If you are not sure about life and death, you talk about living beings, which is very fake. However, the scale between self-achievement and sentient beings needs to be grasped, for example, if you enter the two-vehicle preliminaries, you have already transcended the evil pleasures forever, and then you can completely transfer to the Mahayana, and if you first attain the status of an arhat, then there are some twists and turns in becoming a Buddha.
Of course, the arhats are already very high, and if you must want to prove it, I am also very impressed.
4 It will take a long, long time for Maitreya to come down. You can be like Master Xuanzang, who practiced with Maitreya Bodhisattva in the inner courtyard of Tushi in his next life, and when the Bodhisattva was born, he would be with him and reach out to all sentient beings.

Your question is very professional, I feel that the Buddha is vast, like a spring breeze, and everyone can bathe in the spring breeze. As long as the heart has feelings, that is, in order to meet Maitreya Buddha, whether you can achieve the fruition and avoid reincarnation, you don't have to worry about it.

Practice well. The teachings of the Lord in the Buddhist scriptures are aimed at the bodhisattvas. It's like a college student.
And some of us are like newborn babies, and some are at the level of elementary school students, how can we treat them with the cognition of college students?! So, lay a good foundation first! Listen to the law.
Listening, thinking, and thinking are combined.

Hello brother!
First of all, I am glad that you have read a lot of classics!
If you want to become a Buddha and save all sentient beings, you have to look at the Puxian Bodhisattva Pumen and practice it on the ground, so why bother with this empty mind and worry about the word "I".
Nam no Amitabha!!
-
Hello brother!
Actually, I don't know if we can be considered brothers! Because I found out that you haven't chosen who to be your teacher yet! Let me start by saying that my teacher is Amitabha, so I don't care about the scriptures of other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas!
Because I understand that there are many ways and paths to enlightenment, and only by choosing one of the many methods and taking one of them deeply and for a lifetime can we achieve something!
Here are some of my humble thoughts on your question!
1.If Elysium had time and space limitations, could Elysium still be called "Elysium"?
2.The purpose of the Huayan Sutra is not to tell you the length of time, but to let you experience the difficulties of cultivating in the world of sava, and it is fast and convenient to enter the world of bliss!
3.Since you yourself understand that you are "using the delusions of ordinary people to measure the pure minds of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas", why don't you spend your energy on how to reduce your delusions a little more! So you don't really understand what it means to have a pure mind!
4.You say that you want to be liberated and attained fruition, but you haven't chosen a method yet! It can be seen that you just have "the delusion of wanting to achieve fruition"!
Why do you say that!? Because people who can have the idea of "proving fruits" will not be able to prove results! What's more, the road hasn't been chosen yet!
I said what I should have said, and I said what I shouldn't have said! Please understand the excessive verbal expression!!
Amitabha.

Hello brother! I'm not a refuge, I'm not a monk, I'm a person who is interested in Buddhism, and I want to share with you a little bit about what I've learned, but it's not necessarily right. I hope that the inconsiderate will be understood. Seek the blessings of Avalokiteshvara.
1. How is the Oriental Miaoxi world in the Great Treasure Sutra? In that bodhisattva or arhat who cannot live with immeasurable life, but can be born and free from death, and achieve the state of a bodhisattva or arhat who breaks off afflictions.
Thinking: The world of immobility is also very solemn, but we, the saba beings in the world of the end of the Dharma, do not have such good causes and resources, and cannot meet the conditions for entering, so we can only recite Amitabha, because Amitabha's wish is very grand, as long as we are dedicated to the name of Nian Mida, we can bring karma to life, you see this condition is very low, hurry up and seize it.
2: After reading the Jizo Sutra, I was shocked by the vow of the King of Jizo Bodhisattva, but I yearn for the same as all wisdom attainments, and then come to cross sentient beings, although there is a certain truth in human Buddhism, but at least a little bit of oneself to get rid of life and death and have the wisdom of Arhat or above, wouldn't it be more convenient to cross sentient beings?
Think: Again, the karma of the sentient beings in our sampa world is too heavy, and it is not easy to encounter the Dharma, and we cannot achieve it by our own strength, but we must have the blessings of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and our own hard work to achieve it. All intellectual attainments are also achieved through practice, and the process of cultivation is certainly inevitable.
Therefore, you can save others only if you save yourself.
3: Maitreya Buddha, the fifth Buddha in our world, will become a Buddha in the world of Suva in hundreds of millions of years.
Think: After another 5.67 billion years, when Maitreya Bodhisattva went from Tushita Heaven to the world of Sampa to become a Buddha, the blessings of sentient beings at that time were great, and they could directly listen to the Buddha's teachings, mainly because of whether these people we are now can be born in that era at that time. It would be best if I could be born at that time.
What if you can't? What to do? Can you guarantee that you will always be reincarnated and be born at that time?
If it were me, I wouldn't want to wait until Maitreya became a Buddha, I would hurry up and seize the present, rely on my own practice and the blessings of Amitabha Buddha, and be reborn in the Western Paradise in this life, where I will learn to become a Buddha. Otherwise, I will be reincarnated in other ways, and it is difficult for anyone to say whether it is a blessing or a curse. Therefore, living in the present moment and practicing the present moment is the right path.
I remember going to the temple last month, hearing some questions from lay people, and I felt that my cultivation was a little restless, but in fact, after slowly practicing deeply, my imagination (delusion) will become less and less, and I will pay more and more attention to the present, grasp the present is the truth, don't think so far, thinking too much is delusional, useless, easy to cultivate. If you are a refuge, you should have a regular class every day, be taught to read the scriptures, and your wisdom will flow naturally.
Don't put your head on your head.
My understanding is only that, not necessarily correct, if the perception is not right, ask for the blessings of Avalokiteshvara to help me establish a correct view and eliminate my karma.
Nan no Guanyin Bodhisattva.
