In the sixth year of Zhongping (189), when Sun Jian, who was then the Taishou of Changsha, raised troops to respond to the alliance of the Kwantung (east of Hangu Pass) that had attacked Dong Zhuo, Sun Quan followed his eldest brother Sun Ce and moved to Shu County, Lujiang County (now southwest of Lujiang, Anhui). In the third year of Chuping (192), Sun Jian was ordered by Yuan Shu to conquer Liu Biao, the assassin of Jingzhou, and unfortunately died in battle. After the funeral, the family moved to Jiangdu County, Guangling County.
Sun Quan lost his father at an early age and was raised and educated by his mother, Mrs. Wu.
Biography of the character
In the fourth year of Chuping (193), after Sun Ce defected to Yuan, he ordered Lü Fan to take Sun Quan and others to Wu Jing (Sun Quan's uncle) who lived in Qu'a. In the first year of Xingping (194), Sun Ce attacked Lujiang County for Yuan Shu. Liu Xuan, the assassin of Yangzhou, was deeply afraid of being annexed and wanted to be detrimental to Sun Quan and his mother, so Zhu Zhi sent people to Qu'a to meet Sun Ce's mother and Sun Quan's younger brothers and provide maintenance.
Later, Sun Quan moved with Mrs. Wu to Liyang County (present-day Hexian County, Anhui) and then to Fuling County (near present-day Quanjiao, Anhui).
Sun Quan is generous for human nature, benevolent and decisive, advocating chivalry, and likes to accumulate talents, so he gradually became as famous as his father and brother. He often followed Sun Ce and participated in the decision-making of internal affairs, and his talent made Sun Ce sigh to himself. Whenever he invited guests, Sun Ce often looked back at Sun Quan and said:
These people will be your subordinates in the future. At this time, Sun Quan, Hu Zong, and Zhu Ran were studying in Wu County.
