China is one of the four ancient civilizations, with a rich history, and is also one of the world's great powers.

China also has four well-known classical masterpieces. They are Cao Xueqin's "Dream of Red Mansions", Luo Guanzhong's "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", Shi Nai'an's "Water Margin" and Wu Chengen's "Journey to the West".

But none of these works meet the requirements of the world's highest award, the Nobel Prize in Literature. At 19 o'clock on October 11, 2012, something happened that made the descendants of Yan and Huang extremely proud. This is how the Chinese writer Mo Yan won the world's highest award, the "Nobel Prize in Literature".

When accepting the award, Chinese writer Mo Yan walked to the podium in a tuxedo and delivered an acceptance speech. He realized the dream of the entire Chinese people since ancient times.

In his speech, we also understood his surprise and fear, surprise: surprise, in China, an ancient civilization with a long history of 5,000 years, in terms of literature, it can be said that there are many talents who have returned to China. However, it is a pity that before this, no writer in China has won the "Nobel Prize in Literature", even a literary master like Mr. Lu Xun has not won this honor.

This is also why the great writer will be "surprised". As for "panic", this is very strange, winning the award is obviously a good thing, and what about such an award? Panic:

It's because if it were someone else, maybe he would have been so happy that he couldn't touch the north, south, and north, which is why he was able to win this award, while others couldn't. This is the so-called "everyone's demeanor", even if there is a high achievement, it will not give up continuing to work hard and be greedy for pleasure; Instead, he treats life and work with a more rigorous attitude, so that he can live up to everyone's expectations and praise.

Mo Yan uses ironic pen and ink to attack history. His spirit of winning awards without being proud and complacent is worth learning from, and the so-called "there are people outside the world, and there are heavens outside the sky" is this truth, so we must develop Chinese culture to all parts of the world, and I believe that in the near future, more people will win the "Nobel Prize in Literature" and add glory to their motherland.

Full text of Mo Yan's acceptance speech:

Your Majesty the King, Your Majesty the Queen, Ladies and Gentlemen:

I, the son of a peasant from the northeastern township of Gaomi in Shandong, China, stood on this world-renowned hall and won the Nobel Prize in Literature, which is very much like a fairy tale, but it is an unquestionable reality.

The experience of more than a month after winning the award made me realize the great impact and unshakable dignity of the Nobel Prize in Literature. I have been watching everything happen during this time, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to understand the world, but also an opportunity to recognize myself.

I know that there are many writers in the world who are deserved, even more deserving, than I am for this award; I believe that as long as they persist in writing, as long as they believe that literature is the glory of man and the right of God, then, "He will put a crown on your head and give you the crown." ”

I am well aware that literature has had little impact on the world's political strife and economic crisis, but its influence on people has a long history. When there is literature, we may not recognize its importance, but without literature, human life would be crude and barbaric. Therefore, I feel both honored and heavy for my profession of nuclear renting.

I would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to the members of the Swedish Academy who have firmly stood up for their convictions, and I believe that there is no reason to impress you except literature.

I would also like to pay tribute to the translators of all countries who have translated my work, without whom the concept of world literature would not be possible. Your work is a bridge for human beings to understand and respect each other. Of course, in moments like these, I will never forget the support and help of my family and friends, whose wisdom and friendship shine through my work.

Finally, I would like to give a special thank you to my hometown of Gaomi, Shandong, China, who was, is, and will be one of you. I would also like to give special thanks to the land that gave birth to me and raised me, as the saying goes, "one side of the water and soil raises one side of the people", I am a storyteller raised by this land and water, and all my work is to repay your kindness.
