Looking at all kinds of ** in the flood famine, even other cultivation **, or the stories circulated among our people, it seems that they are very afraid of "messing with cause and effect", but they love that "merit", and they can't wait to cover all the "merits" in the world.

But who knows, "merit" is also part of "cause and effect"?

Cause and effect, what is cause and effect, cause is the cause, effect is the effect, refers to the cause and effect of things, that is, the intersection of anything we do and anyone, so there is naturally a good and bad difference.

The bad ones are called karmic obstacles, and the good ones are merits.

If you don't get involved in cause and effect, how can you get merit?

All effects arise from causes, and all retribution begins with karma.""Bodhisattvas are afraid of causes, and mortals are afraid of effects."

Merit is only the good part of cause and effect, I think so.

Good fruits get merit.

Bad consequences get karma.

Indeed, merit is also a cause and effect.

However, refer to the examples of rectangles and squares.

Although the square is a special form of the rectangle, the rectangle and the square have always been mentioned side by side.

For example, when repairing a house, the owner of the house asks for a rectangular window.

It turned out to be square.

Although the square is also a type of rectangle, if it is made into a square, the owner of the house will be unhappy.

So merit is also a kind of cause and effect, but when it should still be cause and effect, it is cause and effect, and merit should not be counted.

Cause and effect are reincarnated. Merit is that you can help immeasurable sentient beings without gaining anything. The mana is immeasurable.

Causal phenomena. For example, sow melons and get melons, and sow beans and get beans. If you plant the cause, plus fate, that is, the right conditions, you will slowly get a result.

Broadly speaking, every process is a continuation of what has gone before it, and it is a result. Therefore, all the states that we feel at the moment are the same result. There is no such thing as an uncaused.

Every thought in the moment becomes a seed. If you are not enlightened, the thoughts of the present moment are actually a result, and they are thoughts that will inevitably arise, rather than being active. Only an enlightened person can overlook the long river of cause and effect in time and space from the highest field of vision, and take the initiative to use his heart.

Plant the right seeds to get the right results.

1. The origin of "Bodhisattvas fear causes, ordinary people fear fruits":

According to the Buddha, you can refer to the Buddhist scriptures such as "The Great Nirvana Sutra", "The Words and Teachings of the Puxian Master", and "Zengguang Wen Yuanjuan". Therefore, bodhisattvas are afraid of causes and do not plant causes easily.

2. The meaning of "the Bodhisattva fears the cause, and the ordinary man fears the effect":

Ordinary people are afraid of the fruit, and the bodhisattva is afraid of the cause. Ordinary people are only afraid of the evil consequences, but they do not know that the evil results are caused by the evil causes, and they usually act arbitrarily in order to be happy for a while, but they do not know that happiness is the cause of suffering. Bodhisattvas are different, they usually act with every move, protect themselves, and be cautious at the beginning, since there is no evil cause, how can there be evil results?

Even if there are evil consequences, they are all long-term antecedents, and since they are planted by antecedents, the consequences are inevitable, so when they feel the consequences, they accept them peacefully and without flinching, which is called knowing the cause and effect.
