It is most likely a cactus that lives in a true desert climate. Just like this one.
A huge specimen of ancient pringlei. It is commonly grown in central and southern Baja California and is often referred to as Carden. It replaces Sagualo there and is easily recognizable because of their thicker arms extending from very short trunks.
Large plants like this weigh almost twice as much as the saga tree, even though they don't look as tall.
On the mainland, on the west coast of Sonora, you can also find them, where they are particularly large. In Sonora, they are also known as "sahueso" – here, they do grow in the middle of their cousin, the saguaro. Just like this one**.
On the left, without an arm, is a small sagarro. Carden's Sonoran variety seems to be a bit different from the Peninsula variety, prickly when young. And they grow slowly.
That's a bigger card. It is an almost pure tree found in the south of Bahia de Chino, in Sonora. This part of the Sonoran Desert is particularly dry.
Unless there's a strange hurricane visiting, you're only 3 to 4 inches per year, despite the proximity to the warm ocean. The situation is drier in the northern part of the state of Bahia de Kino, as 2 inches of vegetation are barely visible each year. The area is also very hot, with 120-degree temperatures common in the 20-mile interior.
A young Carden, north of Bahia de Kino. All the thorns are not green! In 1989, this plant was 4 inches tall and 1 inch wide.
So how fast do they grow? Well, look at the same plant almost 30 years later! The painting is 40 years old and does not exceed 2 feet in height.
Presumably, Father Eusebio Keno visited the area that bears his name now in 1685 and he probably saw that the oldest Carden plant was already quite large. They are said to live up to 350 years. But this pales in comparison to the Sirio plant, such as this one:
They are believed to have a lifespan of more than 800 years and grow unbearably slowly. On a sand dune on the main road leading to the newer section of Bahia de Quino, three young specimens grow. When I visited this area in 1989, I suspected that Father Keno might have come here from Baja and planted them there as seedlings.
I only saw them at the time, but there was still a large group on the coast. Of course, cirios are not cacti.

The thorny cactus has a lifespan of more than 500 years, and it can be planted in the desert for a long time, so it can stay awake for a long time.
-
I think it's the biggest cacti in the desert, they're the oldest, they're the most experienced, and they're able to resist the most wind and sand.
-
It is a thorny cactus, two or three meters in diameter, that can dig up their stems to quench their thirst.

The Pure Trace of the Cactus is a poem written by the modern poet Shu Ting Chuangzhou.

The cactus (cactaceae) is a plant and the national flower of Mexico. It belongs to a family of desert plants of the order Caryophyllus. In order to adapt to the water-scarce climate of the desert, the leaves evolve into short thorns to reduce water evaporation and also act as a deterrent to animals from ingesting**; The stem evolves into a thick, watery shape; At the same time, it grows very large roots that absorb the most rainwater during heavy rains, and there are currently nearly 2,000 species of plants in the cactus family.

The flower language of the cactus is to be strong, patient, lonely, and waiting; It also represents: hidden love from the bottom of the heart.
Is the edge on the top of his ball spinning or straight up? Rotation is called left-handed or right-handed rotation.
Cacti can better survive the winter by entering the house as soon as possible, reducing watering, stopping fertilizer treatment, basking in more sunlight, ventilation and maintenance. >>>More
Mortal Fun Day] bought three large pieces of edible cacti for Mom and Dad to eat at an exhibition. After a few years, they raised cacti to the height of the roof. When there are children in the compound, they come to ask for a piece of the cheeks, and they will soon be well if they are pricked and mashed and applied to the cheeks. >>>More
