An American drama about an alien invasion of the earth

The first invasion was quite old**.

Plot: Jay Ferry is a divorced docker and a less conscientious father. It's not a crow, is it? I remember that in the end of this movie, because the immune system of these aliens is not immune to the bacteria on the earth, they all die on the earth later. It should be "War of the Worlds" and I kind of like this movie.
