The original sentence is: Weng has been gone for 800 years, and the drunken country is still there;
The mountain travels six or seven miles, and the pavilion shadow is not lonely.
In the fifth year of Song Qingli (1045 AD), Ouyang Xiu came to Chuzhou and met the monk Zhixian, the abbot of Langya Temple, and soon became a bosom friend. In order to facilitate Ouyang Xiu's play, Zhixian built a small pavilion at the foot of the mountain, and Ouyang Xiu personally wrote about it, which is the famous "Drunkard Pavilion".
I don't know the author of this couplet, but according to the inference of "Weng went to 800 years", it was about 800 years after the fifth year of the Song Qingli (1045 AD), which was the late Qing Dynasty. So the author is likely to be from the late Qing Dynasty.
The Drunken Weng Pavilion has been robbed many times for hundreds of years and rebuilt many times. During the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty (1851-1862), the entire garden was reduced to rubble. It was not until the seventh year of Guangxu (1881 AD) that Xue Shiyu presided over the rebuilding of the Quanjiao Observation Pavilion, which restored the Drunken Weng Pavilion to its original state.
Then, this couplet is likely to be written by Xue Shiyu.
