Legal Analysis:1Placement of retired officers. For retired officers, the state shall properly resettle them by means of changing jobs, retiring, receiving retirement pensions on a monthly basis, and demobilization.
2.Placement of retired non-commissioned officers. For retired non-commissioned officers, they will be resettled by means of receiving retirement pensions on a monthly basis, arranging jobs, starting their own businesses, and providing support.
Those who have completed the prescribed number of years of active service and are resettled in the form of receiving retirement benefits on a monthly basis shall receive retirement benefits on a monthly basis in accordance with the relevant provisions of the State. Those who have served in active service for less than the prescribed number of years and are placed in the form of self-employment shall receive a one-time retirement pension.
3.Resettlement of retired conscripts. The state shall properly resettle retired conscripts by means of self-employment, job arrangement, and support.
Those who are placed in the form of self-employment shall receive a one-time retirement pension. Where they are placed in the form of arranged work, the people in the place of resettlement are to be assigned jobs according to their contributions and expertise during their active service. Those who are placed in the form of support are to be supported by the state for life.

1) After conscripts living in rural areas are discharged from active service, the people of townships, ethnic townships, and towns shall make proper arrangements for their production and life. When government organs, groups, enterprises, and public institutions recruit employees in rural areas, they shall, under the same conditions, give priority to veterans. Those who have been awarded second-class merit or higher are to be assigned work in accordance with the provisions of item (2) of this article.
2) After the conscripts in their home towns are discharged from active service, the people of the county, autonomous county, city, or municipal district shall arrange the work, and the people of the higher level or the province, autonomous region, or municipality directly under the Central Government shall make overall arrangements within the local area. Organs, organizations, enterprises, and public institutions, regardless of the nature of ownership or organizational form, have the obligation to resettle veterans in accordance with relevant state regulations. Those who were employees of government organs, organizations, enterprises, or public institutions before enlisting in the military are allowed to resume work or reinstatement.
3) During the period of resettlement of urban veterans, the local people** shall pay living subsidies in accordance with the principle of not being lower than the local minimum living standard.
4) Urban veterans who are self-employed shall be given a one-time economic subsidy by the local people, and preferential policies shall be given.
5) After conscripts are discharged from active service, they shall apply for examinations for state civil servants, institutions of higher learning, and secondary specialized schools, and shall be given preferential treatment in accordance with relevant regulations.
