Liu Meizi, a young contemporary Chinese painter, was born in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province in 1980, graduated from Wencheng Vocational Secondary School in 2000, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Wenzhou Normal University in 2006, graduated from the Chinese Academy of Arts in 2009, and has been a professor of aesthetics at the Shanghai Academy of Film Arts since 2010.
