I've heard someone say that the core idea of Buddhism is:"Empty"And I can't help it, if the core idea of Buddhism is emptiness, then it is very wrong.
The core idea of Buddhism is actually that"Medium"
Its meaning is not attached to being, not attached to the sedan chair in the void, if attached to the existence of the reed branches in the world, such as the attachment to the void will fall into the emptiness, especially better than attachment to the existence, so the Buddha said, "Rather in the existence of taking, not in the air to seek"; If the core of Buddhism is empty, then wouldn't becoming a Buddha also be empty.
Only by not attaching to being or attaching to emptiness and returning to the middle path (non-being, non-emptiness, non-non-existence, non-non-emptiness) is the first truth of Buddhism.

The core idea of Buddhism is the theory of dependent arising. The core of Buddhism can be expressed in four words, called the theory of dependent origination, or expressed in three words called the theory of dependent origination, and its most complete expression can be found in the "Ahama Sutra", which is composed of twenty words, which is "this life is therefore the other life, and this is extinguished."
Brief comment: It can be said to be accurate that the occurrence of any thing in the world is a phenomenon produced by the harmony of various causes, and if there is no one thing in this world, there will be no current us. So Buddhism believes that nothing in the world will disappear, including when people are gone.
Because everything in the universe is dependent on the cause and extinction, Buddhism also refers to the dependent origin and extinction as impermanence. Because everything is changing, everything is illusory and unreal, but this phenomenon of falsehood and unreality is real, and speaking of existence and non-existence leads to two other important words in Buddhism.

The core ideas of Buddhism are the Four Noble Truths of Suffering, Concentration, Extinction, and Path, and the theory pursues the theory of cause and effect.
People who follow Buddhist thought believe that everything has a cause and effect, and that there is a cause and effect, and in their actions and actions, they pursue the emptiness of all things, and regard everything as empty (including their own life), that is, nirvana, which is popularly said to be not afraid of death, believing in reincarnation.
The basic teachings of Buddhism
In a sense, the main content of Buddhist teachings can be divided into two major aspects: one is the theoretical aspect of cause and effect and practice, which is the practical aspect, religious aspect, and moral aspect of Buddhist teachings. Buddhism's concept of good and evil cause and effect and practice have something in common with all other religions and moral teachings, and they also have their own special features.
The second is about the truth of life and the universe, which is the theoretical, philosophical, and dialectical aspect of Buddhist teachings. The Buddhist theory of the truth about life and the universe is the result of the foundation of Buddhist practice. Of course, in terms of specific content, it is impossible to separate these two aspects.

The core idea is as follows:
1. All phenomena are born of causes.
Buddhism often speaks of dependent voidness. Buddhism believes that the universe was not created by God, and that there is nothing unique in the world, let alone something that is immutable, and that everything arises from the combination of causes and conditions.
2. Everything is cause and effect.
Buddhism believes that everything that happens in the world is a cycle of cause and effect, and that if we can come here, there must be a cause in the past, and what we do now will inevitably get corresponding results in the future. So Buddhism came up with the theory of the 12 causes and conditions. If you are interested, you can go to learn more about the 12 karmas.
3. Suffering, concentration, extinction, and degree, the four truths of life.
After the Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree, he realized the four truths of life, also known as the Four Noble Truths. The Four Noble Truths tell us that suffering is the normal state of life, as well as the causes of suffering and the way to eliminate it, and that by learning the Four Noble Truths, we can achieve the goal of freedom from suffering and happiness, and finally attain nirvana.
4. The method of practice is the Eightfold Path.
How to practice the Dharma, the Buddha proposed the Noble Eightfold Path, also known as the Eightfold Sacred Path. Right view, right thinking, right speech, right karma, right life, right diligence, right thinking, right determination. The eight righteous paths pointed out by the Buddha are mainly to guide sentient beings to believe in the Dharma, correct knowledge, correct view, correct thoughts, and correct concentration.
Do not practice evil ways.
5. The middle way is the avenue.
After the Buddha attained enlightenment, he proposed the middle way. The Middle Way is also the core wisdom of Buddhism, the Middle Way does not advocate pleasure, nor does it advocate asceticism, and the Middle Way also shows that Buddhism is not idealism, nor materialism, but a high degree of combination of material and spirit, and the mind and matter reach the state of unity, only in this way can it be immortal.

The core ideas of Buddhist thought:
Precepts, concentration, and wisdom. From the precepts to give birth to the determination, from the determination of wisdom. The Bird's Nest Zen Master expressed these three words into 16 characters in an easy-to-understand manner: do no evil, do all good, purify one's mind, and be all Buddhism.
The basic teachings of Buddhism
The Four Noble Truths, the Noble Eightfold Path, and the Twelve Causes. The Four Noble Truths include the Truth of Suffering, the Truth of Concentration, the Truth of Extinction, and the Truth of the Path. The truth of suffering is to judge everything in social life as suffering, the truth of concentration is to talk about the causes of suffering, the truth of extinction is to cause people to eliminate the causes of suffering, and the truth of the path is to point out the path to liberation for Buddhists, which can be summarized as the Noble Eightfold Path.

The main core content of Buddhism is the "Four Noble Truths", namely: Nirvana (the concept of awakening), the concept of mindfulness (the concept of true belief), the concept of right argument (the view of wisdom), and the view of Bodhi (the view of the path). They cover the three most basic principles that one must grasp on the path of seeking the Tao:
Seek knowledge for liberation, enlightenment for transcendence, practice for Bodhi", and "respect for the envy of the elders, meditate quietly, grasp the present, do not be polluted with dirt, carry forward justice, and practice the bodhisattva path". These principles constitute the Buddhist philosophical guidance for the life of the individual.

At the heart of Buddhism is faith. Although Buddhism is known as the "religion of philosophy", it is a religion after all, and faith is undoubtedly its core content, and the belief that people can become enlightened and become Buddhas constitutes the essential characteristics of Buddhism. However, the important difference between Buddhism and other religions in general is that its liberation is "wisdom liberation," and Buddhism revolves around the fundamental goal of attaining wisdom through the practice of Buddhism.
Buddhism has had a great influence and role in Chinese culture, and has left a splendid Buddhist cultural heritage in Chinese history. The most preserved ancient buildings in our country are the Buddhist temple towers, the existing brick towers of Songyue Temple in Songshan, Henan, the wooden buildings of the Tang Dynasty in Nanchan Temple and Foguang Temple in Wutai Mountain, Shanxi, etc., are all valuable objects for studying the ancient architectural history of our country. Dunhuang, Yungang, Longmen and other grottoes are all great cultural heritage of our country.
