Depending on the scope of work over a certain period of time, you can specify the appropriate compression state for the component. This reduces the amount of data that is collected and estimated at work. Assemblies are displayed and rebuilt faster, allowing for more efficient use of system resources.

There are three compression states for assembly components:

Revert A revert is the normal state of an assembly component. Fully restored components are fully loaded into memory, have access to all functionality, and are fully accessible. All of its model data can be used, so its entities can be selected, referenced, used in mates, and so on.

Lightweight Lightweight The performance of large assemblies can be significantly improved by using lightweight parts. Mounting an assembly with lightweight parts is faster than loading the same assembly with fully restored parts. Because all of the model data for the part is loaded only when needed, lightweight parts are more efficient.

Only selected parts and parts affected by changes made in the current session become fully restored. Because less data is calculated, it is faster to rebuild the model of an assembly that contains lightweight parts. The mate conditions on the lightweight part will be solved, and you can have a mate that you already have.

For some operations and additional applications, lightweight components may not function properly.

Compression Compressing a component temporarily removes it from the assembly, but not from it. It does not load into memory and is no longer a functional member of the assembly. You can't see the compressed component, and you can't select its body.

Load speed, rebuild speed, and display performance have all been improved. Due to the reduced complexity, the rest of the components are calculated faster. However, the mate conditions contained in the compressed component are also compressed.

As a result, the position of components in an assembly may become underdefined.

Change the compression state of assembly components.

1 Right-click the part or subassembly you want to compress and select Component Properties.

2 In the Component Properties dialog box, in Compression State, select the desired state, and then click OK.

Note: If you are working with a lightweight part, you can choose to restore (completely restore the part and load all the model data) or compress. You cannot change a restored or compressed component to a lightweight state.

Other ways to change the compression state.

1.Click the component, and then click Change Compression State on the assembly toolbar, or click, compress the feature (or uncompress).

2.To completely restore (uncompress) a compressed component, right-click the compressed component in the FeatureManager design tree and select Set to Revert, or select Revert in the Component Properties dialog box.

3.To fully restore all lightweight parts, right-click the assembly icon at the top of the FeatureManager design tree and select Lightweight to Revert.

Of course you can, lightweight is just to occupy less system resources! You can right-click on the part menu and select Revert, or you can open the part from the assembly and the part will be automatically converted to the restore state, and of course the right-click in the restore state can also be set to light!

SOLIDWORKS Lighting means opening an assembly without reading the part's features, reading only the entity information, the current color, and the mate relationship. If the assembly is large, you can significantly slow down the speed of opening files. At the same time, it helps to save system resources, so that the parts rotate more smoothly and there are fewer blocks.

It will not affect the use of other tools.

When you open an assembly, the highlight does not read the part feature, but only the solid information, the current color, and the mate relationship. When the assembly is very large, opening the assembly in the illuminated state can significantly improve the speed of opening files and save system resources. However, in lighting mode, it is not possible to modify the color and material of the model, so you need to toggle the illumination and restoration of the components.

Lightweight means that when you open an assembly, you don't read the part features, only the entity information, the current color, and the mate relationship. If the assembly is huge, you can significantly reduce the speed of opening files. At the same time, it helps you save system resources, so that the parts rotate more smoothly and there are fewer blocks = =....

Personally, it is recommended to check lightweight when opening the assembly.

Impact,When I use SW07,Lightweight state photoworks is not usable as if it can't be used。 If you want to render, modify the model color, material, etc., you must set it to revert.

But now it's 10, and if you modify it, it will automatically help you remove lightweight.

If other plugins can't run in the lightweight state, SW will prompt you to set the restoration

The effect of lightening is that the startup will be faster when the file is loaded, and the only thing I know about the impact is that the things that change sometimes can't be updated.

Lightweighting is to reduce the amount of computer memory occupied by the assembly. Reduce the time it takes to open. Useful for large assemblies... If you don't lighten it. Yes, right-click on the part you want not to lighten, and select the "Set to Restore" command.

The option is turned on, set in it, and the threshold of the minimum number of parts for automatic lightening is modified, and it is increased to tens of thousands, and you can do it.

The disadvantage is that for large assemblies, your computer is very tested, and if you don't do it well, it won't be able to rotate, and it is very unsmooth. Slide-like.

Lightweight is to reduce the amount of computer memory occupied by the program, and there is no need to make things by yourself, but it is necessary to have a poor computer configuration or a large design, which can improve the reading speed.

It's like this when something is too big. If you need to touch, you can click on the part you want to lift, and then you can do it. Permanently solved, as long as the number of parts is set to select the number of parts when lightweight.

Look at the operation shown in the diagram and cancel the automatic lightweight function of the part.

To restore the entire assembly, you can right-click the assembly name on the Model Tree.

In the pop-up dialog box, select "Set Lightweight to Revert" to restore the feathers on the design logo and the display of parts is better.

The operation is the same for partial parts or subassemblies.

This is the assembly "lightweight mode", in this form to open the assembly model, you can open the model very quickly, save a lot of time, right-click the name at the top of the design tree and select "set lightweight to restore" can make the whole assembly "restore", a single part right-click, only a single part can be restored.

The first floor is very correct and the answer is very detailed. Lightening is used to save system resources, but it hides the modeling features, materials, textures and other information of a single part, which does not affect the normal assembly, and can be restored according to the method on the first floor

When opening an assembly in SW, pay attention to the following options, "Lightweight", "Quick View", and generally Lightweight is checked

Options—System Options—Performance—Just tick "Automatically load parts in a lightweight state", 08 is the same as 10.

After the assembly is set to lightweight, you have to go to SW, File - Open, after selecting this file, there is a lightweight complex option below, and you can lighten it by ticking it.

In large assembly mode, parts will be lightweight, you can select the number of parts of the large assembly in the options, and the assembly will not be lightweight next time the number of parts is not reached.
