If the oil volume adjustment lever can only be pushed in a small range after disengaging from the governor, it means that the resistance is outside the governor, which may be: the plunger sleeve of a certain cylinder fuel injection pump is not installed vertically in the pump body, so that the adjustment fork (or tooth rod) is not flexible to pull; The plunger adjustment arm (or sector gear) is bent and deformed or loose, so that the oil adjustment lever cannot be pulled flexibly; The tightening force of the positioning screw of the plug sleeve is too large, resulting in the plunger sleeve and the pump body not perpendicular, and the plunger is not flexible when reciprocating.
If the oil volume adjustment lever is carried freely, the reason for the "traveling car" is that the connection points of various parts of the governor are loose, such as the flying block pin hole and the seat frame are too worn; The backlash of the oil supply tooth rod is too large; The rack (or adjusting fork) tie rod pin is loose; The axial clearance of the camshaft is too large; The governor shell is worn and loose, etc. If necessary, the governor should be overhauled to restore the normal fit clearance of each moving part. Check the axial clearance of the camshaft of the fuel injection pump.
If it exceeds the specified range, it should be adjusted. Check the governor flying block stroke and the preload of the governor spring. The stroke of the two flying blocks and the preload of the two sets of speed regulating springs are basically the same.
If the diesel engine is equipped with a pneumatic governor, the main reason for the "traveling car" is that the sealing is damaged. At this time, it is necessary to check whether the vacuum tube and the joints at both ends are leaking, whether the left chamber of the governor is well sealed, whether the diaphragm is damaged, and whether the right chamber is connected with the atmosphere.
