What do people are accustomed to mean by postmodern

Postmodernity is a feeling, but quite a postmodern decadent pan-patriotism...Everyone has their own understanding. If modernism is rational, one of the meanings of postmodernity is irrational, and if modernism is against tradition, postmodernism is a complete neglect of tradition.

The question is, what is postmodernism? To grasp the meaning of postmodernism, let's first return to the opposition between modern and postmodern, postmodernism must be "postmodern" to modern, so what is modernism?

Modernism is the ultimate and best way. The prescriptive characteristics of modernity are: (1) an overriding belief in and trust in science and technology; (2) promote the positive effects of technology; and (3) the belief that development is inevitable and the result of the hope of modern thinking (Hlynka & Yeaman, 1991).

In this way, the prescriptive character of postmodernism is the rejection of the prescriptive character of modernism and replaces it with:

1) Religious pluralism; (2) a multifaceted examination of the effectiveness of the technology; (3) Examine whether development is always inevitable, resulting in a serious proposition. If you look at it by other criteria, "technological development" may not be development at all.
