The number of hours or days specified in the resource or project calendar that the task cannot be scheduled because work cannot be done at that time, so Project should not schedule a task at that time. For example, non-working hours can include lunch breaks, weekends, and holidays. (e.g., weekends and evenings) and special holidays (e.g., holidays).
In addition, you don't need to change the resource's resource calendar (resource calendar: A calendar that specifies working and non-working hours for a single resource. A resource calendar is different from a base calendar, which specifies working and non-working time for multiple resources.

Based on the default "standard" calendar in the project software, you can change it so that all days are working days, or you can create a new calendar that is a working day every day. The so-called standard calendar is a five-day work week, from Monday to Friday, and if you work every day, that is, Saturday and Sunday are also working days, and we call it a "7-day workweek" calendar for the time being.
Let's take a new "7-day workweek" calendar as an example to explain the steps:
Click "Change Working Hours" under the "Project" menu, and then create a new calendar in the pop-up window, as shown in the following figure, the calendar name is entered casually, there are two options under the name, select "New Base Calendar".
In the "7-day work calendar", click on "Work Week" below, then click on "Details", in the pop-up window, use the Ctrl key to select both Saturday and Sunday, then there are 3 options on the right, select the 3rd "Set the following specific working hours for the listed days", and then enter 8:00-12:00 and 13:
00-17:00, click OK.
In"project"menu below"Project information"In the pop-up window, for Calendar, select "7-day workweek", so that the default calendar for all tasks will be 7-day workweek. As shown in the figure below.
The last step is not required, but it is recommended. Right-click and select on the timescale in the Gantt chart area"Timescale", and then select"Non-working hours"and select from the drop-down menu at the calendar below"7-day work week"That's it, so that in the Gantt chart area, there will be no shaded areas on Saturday and Sunday.
