3. Push the boat down the river.

On the surface, we agree with the other party's point of view, deduce it according to the logic of the other party, and set up some reasonable obstacles according to the needs of our party in the process of reasoning, so that the other party's point of view cannot be established under the additional conditions, or draw conclusions diametrically opposed to the other party's point of view.

4. Clean up the source.

In the figurative sense of this article, it is to point out that the opponent's argument is not closely related to the topic or runs counter to it, fundamentally correct the foothold of the opponent's argument, and pull it into our "sphere of influence" so that it can just serve our viewpoint. Compared with the "push the boat with the current" method of positive reasoning, this technique is just the opposite way of thinking.
