Several folk legends about Sanruan, although there are different theories, are still helpful to make up for this omission in "Water Margin". A legend mentions that Shimiao Village in Yinshan Commune, Liangshan County, Shandong Province, was Shijie Village in those years.

There is a four-grave pit in the east of the village, which is told by local villagers that this is the burial place of the other four brothers of the Nguyen family. The villagers said that the Ruan brothers were originally seven people, who made a living from fishing and had a heroic character. The seven brothers could not bear the cruel exploitation of the fishing tyrants and the tyranny of the government, and united the fishermen to resist.

As a result, it was suppressed by the government and fishing tyrants. So they took risks, resisted the government, killed fishermen, robbed the rich and helped the poor, and confronted the officers and soldiers who came to clean up. In a fierce battle, four of the seven brothers were killed, and only the youngest was killed.

Second, Little Five and Little Seven escaped. Afterwards, the fishermen buried the four Nguyen brothers in four graves. The credibility of this legend is still there, but there is one doubt:

Although four brothers died in battle, the officers and soldiers will never let go of those three living mouths, and they will come to arrest them from time to time. Later, how could these three brothers stay in Shijie Village, and only go to Liangshan until Wu Yong hit the chip?

Another legend says that the Nguyen Thi Thiong was originally twin brothers born of one child. Her mother died early, her family was poor, and she didn't have a name until she was a teenager.

Once my father was sick, I heard Lang Zhong say that he had to eat a catfish called "drill in the mud" to be cured. When the three sons heard about this, they braved the cold and dived under the water to find a catfish. Ruan Laohan asked his three sons to weigh all the fish.

The result is two catties, five catties, and seven catties. The old man named the three twin brothers according to the weight of the fish, so the three of them were also called Ruan Xiao.

2. Ruan Xiaowu and Ruan Xiaoqi. This legend is a bit bizarre, but it is quite interesting. But there's still a bit of a problem here. In the fifteenth episode of "Water Margin", Wu used in Ruan Xiao in "Wu Xuexue Sanruan Bumping Chips".
