It's because you don't loosen your hips and knees in your groin, and your knees are higher than your toes when you're boxing, and your body weight is still on your knees and not on your feet, and if you solve this problem, the time you spend punching and standing on the pile will increase dramatically. But don't worry, it's a process, and it will get better slowly.

    The strength is not right.

Tai Chi is an internal boxing, don't practice it like an external hard skill.

Many Tai Chi enthusiasts have found this problem, and if you don't pay attention to it, it will cause wear and tear on your knees over time. So this issue needs to be treated with caution. I've had a similar issue, but it's now resolved.

I did Yang-style Tai Chi 85 style, and after I found that my knee hurt, I also asked many questions. Later, I carefully checked my movements and found that there were two main problems:

    1. When lunging, the knee is too forward, exceeding the toe, so that the center of gravity of the body is moved forward, and the knee part is under too much pressure, which causes muscle strain in this part over time.

Second, when the body is turning, such as a single whip pose, when the legs are turned, the knee is twisted, this subtle twisting is wrong, and the long-term accumulation also causes damage to the knee.

After discovering the cause, I made improvements to the problem.

First, adjust your body position so that your knees don't exceed your toes, and you should aim to lift your front knee up when lunging. In this way, the knee is not particularly compressed, and the pressure is evenly distributed throughout the leg. In fact, this is also the requirement of Tai Chi body with 'five bows', the legs should have a 'bow', with the 'bow', the legs will have elasticity, and will not break in the middle, that is, at the knees.

Secondly, pay attention to the dotted line between the root of the leg and the heel as the axis, and the whole leg will be rotated horizontally around the axis so that it will not twist to the knee.

The basic skills of Tai Chi are very important, the practice of boxing should be gradual, the subtleties of the movements should be constantly corrected, many times the leg strength is not enough to force the boxing, which will lead to deformation of the action, you can pause for a while in each posture, observe the relationship between various parts of the body, and also strengthen the strength of each link.

I don't know if my experience will be useful to you, I wish you a speedy **!

After a serious trip to Tai Chi, the whole body will be extremely relaxed, the fingers will be numb and swollen, and the spirit will be very good at the end of the day, and there will be no insomnia! In winter, I no longer have hand and foot diseases, and in summer, there can be occasional warm heat flow on my feet, which is very comfortable. Today I am 30 years old and have been practicing boxing for more than a year.
