Students apply because it has a first-class Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Humanities, and Social Sciences, in addition to the best Faculty of Natural Sciences, Engineering, and Management; It is because it has the degree programs and courses that students need, because students and even new students can listen to the teachings of Nobel laureates, and because the school gives students countless opportunities to conduct research with the world's leading scientists. All students are required to complete Calculus and Physics in one year and Biology and Chemistry in one semester. In the second year, students are required to complete 3 courses in their respective subject areas, as well as obtain experimental grades. In order to ensure that MIT students receive a truly meaningful liberal science education, the school stipulates that each student should spend 8 semesters studying humanities and social sciences. Because of this, in the first year, in order to relieve the pressure, the school fully adopted the performance assessment method of Lao Wu Chi to avoid failure.
