Anonymous users2024-02-03After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War in 1937, 10-year-old Yu Guangzhong traveled with his parents to Shanghai, Chongqing and other places.
At the age of 22, Yu Guangzhong came to Taiwan with his family and was admitted to the Department of Foreign Languages of National Taiwan University.
Although he majored in foreign languages, Yu Guangzhong has a strong interest in traditional Chinese culture. He wrote extensively in poetry, prose, criticism, and translation, and the most outstanding of them was poetry. People have commented that his poems have a wide range of themes, changing styles, and a variety of techniques, blending traditional and modern, Chinese and Western brushwork.
As a result, he is known as one of the "Top Ten Poets" of Taiwanese Modernism.

Introduction:
Yu Guangzhong was born in Nanjing in 1928 and his ancestral home is Yongchun, Fujian. 's mother is originally from Wujin, Jiangsu, so she also calls herself"Jiangnan people"。
He graduated from the Department of Foreign Languages of National Taiwan University in 1952. In 1959, he received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Iowa (Lowa). He has taught at Soochow University, Taiwan Normal University, National Taiwan University, and National Chengchi University.
During this period, he was twice invited by the United States to serve as a visiting professor at many universities in the United States. In 1972, he became professor and head of the Department of Spanish at National Chengchi University, Taiwan. From 1974 to 1985, he was a professor in the Department of Chinese at the University of Hong Kong Chinese.
Since 1985, he has been a professor and chair professor at Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan, including six years as Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Director of the Institute of Foreign Languages.
Yu Guangzhong has been engaged in poetry, prose, criticism, and translation all his life, and he claims to be his own writer"Four-dimensional space"。So far, it has been in the literary world for more than half a century, and it has been known for a wide range of times"Polygamous in art"。His literary career is long, broad and deep, and he is a contemporary poet, a prose powerhouse, a famous critic, and an excellent translator.
