If you learn layout, it's not that complicated. Generally, the fastest is a week or two, and the slowest is a month, and finally you can draw a simple PCB. However, layout requires a high level of electronic knowledge.

In that case, you should be prepared for long-term study and specialization.

But as a comparison between these two jobs, I think the development potential of Layout in the future is a little better than that of Cam. So in the end, you still have to make a decision. One of mine is just for your reference.

After 2013, the salary of CAM engineers will increase slightly, probably by 300 to 600.

4.The PCB design engineer is different, junior and intermediate engineers or above, with a minimum salary of more than 6000 (no upper limit). (depending on the level of individual skills), and finally you must be sure to understand the nature and difference between the work of a PCB engineer and a CAM engineer, as well as the treatment!
