WAN interfaces are also known as WAN interfaces. Routers can not only realize the connection between LANs, but also the interconnection between LANs and WANs, and between LANs and WANs. The interface through which the router connects to the WAN is called the WAN interface.
A WAN is a cross-regional data communication network that uses equipment provided by telecom operators as a platform for information transmission. A wide area network can span a large physical range, covering a range of tens to thousands of kilometers, it can connect multiple cities or countries, or across several continents, and can provide long-distance communication, forming an international long-distance network.
LAN interface (LAN interface) is mainly used for the router to connect with the LAN, because the LAN types are also diverse, so this also determines that the LAN interface types of the router may also be diverse.
Different networks have different interface types, and the common Ethernet interfaces mainly include AUI, BNC, and RJ-45 interfaces, as well as FDDI, ATM, and optical fiber interfaces, all of which have corresponding network interfaces.
There are two common WAN interfaces:
1. ATM: Using LC or SC and other optical fiber interfaces, the common bandwidth is 155M, 622M, etc.
2. POS: Using LC or SC and other optical fiber interfaces, the common bandwidth is 155M, 622M, etc.
Classification of LAN interfaces:
1. AUI port.
The AUI port is an interface used to connect with a thick coaxial cable, and it is one"d"15-pin interface, which is one of the more common ports in Token Ring or Bus-type networks.
2. RJ-45 port.
RJ-45 port is our most common port, it is our common twisted pair Ethernet port, because in fast Ethernet also mainly uses twisted pair as the transmission medium, so according to the different communication rates of the port, RJ-45 port can be divided into 10BASE-T network RJ-45 port and 100BASE-TX network RJ-45 port two categories.
3. SC port.
The SC port is also what we often call the fiber optic port, which is used for the connection with the optical fiber, generally speaking, this kind of fiber port is unlikely to be directly connected to the workstation with optical fiber, and is generally connected to the switch with optical fiber port such as Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet. This kind of port is generally only available in high-end routers, and it is all available"100b fx"Annotations, as shown in the image.

A WAN port is a WAN interface of a router. A WAN interface is an interface used to connect to the Internet (commonly known as the Internet).
It is an external network interface, which is used to connect to external networks such as the Internet, but cannot be used to connect to computers, for example, in the following two cases:
1.The traditional ** line dial-up Internet access, the WAN interface is used to connect to the Moden;
2.Optical fiber Internet access, WAN interface is used to connect optical modems;
The commonly used LAN port is interconnected with the equipment within the enterprise, and the WAN port is interconnected with the operator's network, and Educom's can support 1 Gigabit Ethernet WAN, 4 Gigabit Ethernet LAN, 1 RS232 RS485 (optional) interface and WiFi interface at the same time.
The router you bought has a manual inside, and different router settings are different.
If it is a wireless bridging, the model of the two routers must be the same model as well, I have also bridged a lot of routers, in general, TP bridges Tengda's can be, but with Tengda's bridge to other routers, the success rate is not high. First enter your router, then click to turn on WDS, then scan, find your other router, then click to connect, then enter cmd in the run dialog box, and then enter, click OK, if the number can appear, it means that it can be passed. Then enter your path finder, change the IP of the machine to, that is, to separate from the IP address of the router you want to bridge, at this time run in the dialog box, enter ping If it can be passed, it means that the signal of the previous router can be received, and then enter if it is also passed at this time, it means that the bridge is successful, at this time go back to the interface of the router you bridged, take a look at the moving status, if the display is successful, then good luck, this and then turn off the DHCP, and then it's OK, of course, Not all routers can be bridged successfully, some can succeed, some can't, good luck.
It is normal for the router to be disconnected, but it should be abnormal if it is often disconnected, and it is necessary to consider the hardware quality problem or the software firmware version problem. >>>More

The quality of wireless network parameters directly affects the quality of wireless Internet access. On the surface, the wireless parameter setting in the wireless router is nothing more than setting an SSID number, that's all, in practical applications, such as channel, wireless encryption and other setting items, not only will affect the speed of wireless Internet access, but also affect the security of wireless Internet access. >>>More
