A computer network is a system composed of computer systems, network nodes, and communication links. From the perspective of logical function, a network can be divided into two parts: resource subnet and communication subnet.
The network system is centered on the communication subnet, which is located in the inner layer of the network. The communication subnet realizes the network communication function, including the communication processing work such as data processing, transmission and exchange. That is, the transfer of information from one primary computer to another.
Communication subnets mainly include switches, routers, bridges, repeaters, hubs, network cards, cables and other equipment and related software.
Resource subnets share resources, including data processing, network resources, and network services. Resource subnets mainly include hosts and their peripherals, servers, workstations, network printers, and other peripherals and their related software. A computer network connected computer system can be a jumbo, mainframe, minicomputer, workstation, microcomputer, or other data terminal device.
The communication subnet is composed of network nodes, communication equipment, communication lines, etc., and is responsible for the communication processing work of the whole network, such as data transmission, exchange, processing and transformation.
The network node, also known as the network unit, is the general term for various data processing equipment, data communication control equipment (CCP) and data terminal equipment in the network system. There are two types of network nodes: transfer nodes and access nodes. A transit node is a node that supports network connection performance, and it transfers and transmits information through communication lines, such as concentrators, terminal controllers, etc.
The access node is the source node and the destination node of information exchange, which plays the role of source and host, such as terminal and host computer.
Communication equipment refers to all kinds of network connection equipment, including repeaters, bridges, switches, routers, etc.
Communication lines refer to the transmission medium and its media connection components, including twisted pairs, coaxial cables, optical fibers, etc.
In addition to the above physical components, a computer network should also have a well-functioning software system to support network functions such as resource sharing and data transmission. In order to communicate data between network components, both parties must have a set of communication rules or conventions that can understand each other and be followed consistently across the network. Such as the format of data transmission, the start and stop bits of data transmission, the transmission speed, the error control in transmission, etc.
These rules or conventions are called network protocols. It is an important symbol to distinguish the interconnection between computer networks and general computers. It can be said that computer network communication is premised on network protocols.

What is Networking? A network is made up of a number of nodes and the links that connect them, representing many objects and their interconnections.
The network will bring people an extremely rich life and beautiful enjoyment from the aspects of text, viewing, video and audio, transmission, games, chats and other software tools with the help of text reading, viewing, video and audio, transmission, games, chats, etc.
What are the components of the network? A network is usually made up of three parts, which are the resource subnet, the communication subnet, and the communication protocol.
1. The so-called communication subnet is the part of the computer network responsible for data communication.
2. The resource subnet is the user-oriented part of the computer network, which is responsible for the application-oriented data processing of the whole network.
3. The rules and agreements that both parties must abide by are called communication protocols, and their existence or absence is the fundamental difference between computer networks and general computer interconnection systems.
Generally speaking, the whole system that realizes resource sharing is called a computer network when multiple computers, terminals, and peripheral devices are interconnected with each other with communication lines, and the hardware, software, and data resources of the computer can be used by everyone together. Each computer connected to the network is a complete and self-contained device in its own right. It can work independently on its own.
For example, people can start, run, and stop it. You can also use another computer on the network through the network.
Computers can communicate with each other using wired cables such as twisted pairs, cables, coaxial cables, and optical fibers, or they can be connected using wireless cables such as microwaves and satellites.

Everything that can be done on mobile phones and computers belongs to the Internet, such as online shopping, online chatting, online games, etc.

Network refers to a computer system that connects multiple computers and their peripheral devices with independent functions in different geographical locations through communication lines to achieve resource sharing and information transmission under the management and coordination of network operating systems, network management software and network communication protocols. In general, the composition of a computer network basically includes: a computer, a network operating system, a transmission medium (which can be tangible or intangible, such as the transmission medium of a wireless network is space) and the corresponding application software.

There are five network topologies of star, ring, tree, bus, and mesh, thank you.
-
The topology of a network refers to the interconnected geometry of communication lines and sites (computers or devices) in a network. According to the different topologies, networks can be divided into three basic types: star networks, ring networks, and bus networks. On the basis of these three types of network structures, other types of topological structures such as tree network, cluster star network, and mesh network can be combined.
1. Star network structure.
In a star network structure, each computer is connected to the network using its own cables, so if something goes wrong at one site, it doesn't affect the operation of the entire network. The star network structure is the most commonly used network topology, as shown in Figure 1.
2. Ring network structure.
The stations of the ring network structure are connected into a closed ring through the communication medium. The ring network is easy to install and monitor, but the capacity is limited, and it is difficult to add new sites once the network is built. As a result, ring network structures are no longer used in the formation of local area networks.
3. Bus-type network structure.
In a bus-based network structure, all sites share a single data channel. The bus type network is simple and convenient to install, the cable that needs to be laid is the shortest, the cost is low, and the failure of a certain site generally does not affect the entire network, but the failure of the medium will cause the network to be paralyzed. Bus networks are less secure, more difficult to monitor, and not as easy to add new sites as star networks.
As a result, bus-based network structures are now largely obsolete.

According to the topology, the network can be divided into five basic structures, and the implementation of the Internet is composed of five layers, which are respectively the entity layer, the link layer, the network layer, the transport layer, and the application layer. The lower the layer, the closer it is to the hardware, and the higher the layer, the closer it is to the user.
Solid layer: When computer hardware communicates directly with hardware, it is realized through electrical signals, and the physical layer is used to transmit the electrical signals of 0 and 1.
Transport layer: Implements port-to-port communication.
Application layer: Specifies the type of data to be transferred.
