Compulsory 4 Unit 4 shows our feelings to express our emotions.

Body language is one of the most effective ways to communicate, and sometimes even better than spoken language. People all over the world express a wide range of emotions, desires, and attitudes that may never be spoken out loud. But it's still possible to "read" the people around us, even if they don't want us to capture what they're not saying.

Of course, body language can be misunderstood, but many gestures and movements are universal.

The most commonly used expression is--- of course, smiling its role is to express happiness and make people feel happy. However, laughing doesn't always mean we're really happy. Many of the world's smiles can be fake, used to mask other emotions such as anger, fear or worry.

There are also unhappy laughs, such as when some people "lose face", they will cover it with a smile. In any case, laughter is generally a good expression of emotions.

Ever since we were born, we have frowned to express our unhappiness or anger. In most parts of the world, frowning and turning one's back to each other are expressions of anger. Fist clenching and fist shaking at someone is a sign that someone is angry with another person and intimidates another.

There are many ways to say yes in the world, but nodding your head to show your approval is basically universal all over the world. Most people also know that shaking their head from side to side means opposition or rejection.

So how do you say I'm bored? For the most part, looking away from people or yawning seems uninteresting. But if I turn to someone or something, people of all cultures will think I'm interested.

If I roll my eyes or turn my head in other directions, I mostly mean that I don't believe or like what I'm hearing.

Respect for others is a subjective idea based on the respective culture, but in general, it is not a good idea to hug your boss or teacher. In every culture, it's usually not good to stand too close to someone of higher status than you. Keeping a little distance and spreading my hands open indicates that I am happy to listen.

There are a lot of cultural differences between people, and luckily we all have a lot of similarities in our body language. It's amazing that we were able to understand each other even though we often misunderstood each other.
