The Book of Songs contains a total of 305 poems, which are divided into three parts: wind, elegance and song. Among them, "wind" includes the covers of the Book of Poetry in fifteen places.
Folk songs, including some places in Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan, Hebei, Shandong, and northern Hubei today, are called "Fifteen National Styles", with 160 articles, which are the core content of the Book of Songs. "Wind" means earthy wind, wind ballad. "Ya" is the sound of elegant music, that is, the nobles enjoy the banquet or the princes when the music is divided into "big Ya", "Xiao Ya" according to the layout of **, there are 105 poems, including 31 Ya, 74 Ya.
"Song" is a sacrificial music song, divided into 31 "Zhou Song", 4 "Lu Song", and 5 "Shang Song", a total of 40 articles. It is one of the "Five Classics". The Book of Songs has a history of more than 2,500 years.
The expression of the Book of Poetry is divided into endowment, comparison, and xing. Together with the wind, elegance and song, it is called the "Six Meanings". The Book of Songs collects a total of 305 poems, of which 6 are sheng poems, only titles, no content, and 305 extant poems (both titles and words).
In the Warring States Period, the ritual collapsed, a large number of music scores were lost, and the only remaining lyrics were compiled into the "Book of Songs". In the pre-Qin period, it was called "Poems", or it was called "Three Hundred Poems" as an integer. In the Western Han Dynasty, it was revered as a Confucian classic, originally called the "Book of Songs", and has been used to this day.
These poems were originally lyrics with music, retaining the form of a combination of ancient poetry, **, and dance, but in the long-term circulation, the music score and dance were lost, and only poetry remained. Confucius said: "The Book of Songs" has a total of three hundred and five articles, each one tells a story, each story has a truth, it can be said that there is quite a lot, but with one sentence can cover all the righteousness in the "Book of Songs" without the slightest omission, this is what "Lu Song" says:
Thinking innocently. It means that people's thoughts and thoughts are born from heavenly principles, not distorted by selfish desires, and this sentence completely summarizes the thoughts and principles of the Book of Songs. The words of the psalmist are both praise and irony, and they praise good people and things with beautiful words to inspire people's good hearts, and they use harsh words to satirize ugly people and things to punish people's evil thoughts.
It is all about raising people's good thoughts, getting rid of people's ugly thoughts, and making people's temperament gentle and pure. If every thought of the human heart is pure and not distorted by selfish desires and evil thoughts, then his actions are naturally full of good deeds and not evil deeds, full of actions that are praised, and not deeds that are ridiculed. The poet's praise and satire are just to persuade the good and punish the evil, so the three words of thinking innocent are enough to summarize the spirit of the "Book of Songs".
Scholars who want to cultivate themselves must understand that they should put their efforts on "careful thinking".
