First, let's look at Yukichi Fukuzawa.

Who is it. He was a famous Enlightenment thinker in modern Japan, during the Meiji period.

He is also known as the father of modern education in Japan and the great hero of Meiji education. His most famous sentence should be: The reason why a country can be independent is because its people have an independent heart.

If everyone wants to be an official, and the whole country is an old official, then the country will not be strong in any way. But many people, especially many Chinese, think that Fukuzawa Yukichi was the first to advocate the theory of Japanese aggression, but I think his primary contribution to Japan was not expansion, but independence. Yukichi Fukuzawa is still very sensible.

He opposes learning that is divorced from reality, and that's the kind of thinking. He rejected Confucius.

Abandon Confucianism. To collect blood and sweat is because it judges Confucianism and Sinology as knowledge that is divorced from reality in modern society. Yukichi Fukuzawa believes that there are too many things in the world for teachers to teach students, so it is more important to cultivate students' abilities than to impart knowledge.

The so-called ability and the ability to study the ability to handle things. Ability is not singular, it includes memory, reasoning, and imagination. These are the most useful things that independent people and independent states need, and the outdated Confucianism.

Promote cultural revival. There is much to learn from Yukichi Fukuzawa's thoughts. As a Chinese, I also believe that although we cannot use violence and coercion to take away what does not belong to us, the development and choice of history should conform to nature, which cannot be said to be advocated by Fukuzawa Yukichi.

Invasion of China. We should hate him, and even think that all his thoughts are theoretical preparations to discourage Japan's invasion of China. Opposite.

If there had been no backward China in the past, the Chinese would probably spend forever in backwardness, never thinking about change, never awakening, and never having a new China that is developing with each passing day.

Fukuzawa Yukichi's enlightenment thought was like a turbulent torrent, impacting the feudal shogunate system and outdated social consciousness, so it was deeply appreciated by Meiji**. His ideas of enlightenment were transformed and used by the bourgeoisie to promote the development of capitalism. As the spokesman of the Japanese bourgeoisie, Fukuzawa Yukichi had a narrow vision, and it was impossible for him to care about the suffering of the lower classes, and even advocated the use of religion to fool the people and make them bow down to the mercy of the capitalists.

After the Meiji Restoration, Fukuzawa's thinking gradually became more conservative, advocating the theory of "government and public surveys" internally, and excusing Japan's expansion externally, openly proclaiming that "Japan shoulders the responsibility of a civilized teacher......We should bring the DPRK into the civilized world" and advocated that China and the DPRK should be "included in the circle of our civilization," exposing his limitations. His Enlightenment ideas were essentially ideological tools in the service of the Japanese bourgeoisie.
