Mummification is a cultural phenomenon. It is caused by a lack of correct understanding of life in the universe. It can't be called a religion. Superstition at best. Without the spread of truth, there can be no religion.

It should be because of the dry climate and high temperature in Egypt that the Egyptian people thought of making dried corpses to preserve the corpses, and the Egyptians believed in the sun god.

China is relatively advanced in medicine and science, so mercury is generally used to preserve corpses, and activated charcoal or earth is also used to seal and isolate the air to vacuum the tomb.

Take a look at the Egyptian mythology about Osiris. Inside Yinsis mummified Osiris, and then he was resurrected, possibly related to this myth.

The Egyptians believed that the human soul was immortal and therefore preserved the corpse of the person.

In fact, in the early days of civilization, human beings had the same questions, and similar.

For example, the attachment to life, and the fear of death, thinking about life after death, and the religious beliefs it brings.
