According to the "Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon.
Five elements and five colors.
The collocation relationship is: Oriental wood, in the color of the blue; The fire in the south is red in color; **Soil, yellow in color; The western gold is white in color, and the northern water is black in color.
Five elements and five colors.
All things in heaven and earth are composed of such basic substances as metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. The color with the five elements is five colors, that is, the five colors of green, red, white, yellow, and black.
Wood = cyan, which is the color of the budding leaves.
Fire = red, for bonfire.
The color of burning. Earth = yellow, which is the color of the earth.
Gold = white, which is the color of metallic luster.
Water = black, the color of the abyss.

Knowledge of Chinese culture: Qinglong, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, Xuanwu, what is the correspondence between the five colors and the five elements and the five directions?
-
Oriental, woody, cyan, number eight, with spring.
South, fire, red, number seven, with summer.
Western, golden, white, number nine, with autumn.
Northern, watery, black, counting, winter.
Such ideas can be found in the first twelve volumes of the "Four Seasons" of the "Lü Spring and Autumn Period", and as early as the Warring States Zou Yan's "Five Virtues and the End of the Beginning", there are "wood green", "fire red", "gold white", and "water black".
If the theory of "Yitong Tongtu" is painted on the ground or in the sand table, this is a popular picture of the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. Moreover, it is a "map" with five elements, numbers, directions, and color connotations.
Therefore, it is called "Yitong Tongtu", which is a metaphor for "earthquake for wood" with the East; "Kan for water" with the north; "Separation is fire" with the south; "Redeeming for gold" with the West, this is the four-positive hexagram azimuth map of the "Emperor Out of the Earthquake Map" in "Yi Chuan Hexagram". This is the early simple hexagram Qi Yi Tu.

The color of the five elements:
The colors of gold are white, apricot and gold; The colors of the genus wood are cyan and green; The colors of water are black and blue; The colors of fire are red and purple; The colors of the soil are yellow and brown.
As for the red and purple series, which represent the "fire" in the five elements, they can be used in this room, but not too much. Because of the relationship between wood and fire, wood sees that the fire is depleted. In addition, the yellow series, which represents the "earth" in the five elements, can also be used.
Let's say someone likes to have a lot of red and purple series in their room. As mentioned earlier, wood in the five elements makes fire. So you might as well arrange some green and cyan collections at the same time.
It is not advisable to use a large area of blue-black series, so as not to commit the taboo of "water" (blue, black) and "fire" (red and purple).
In addition, the yellow of the earth and the white of the gold can be arranged in between.
Suppose someone likes to arrange more yellow series in the living room, because the color of "earth" is yellow series, according to the relationship between fire and earth in the five elements, people who like yellow may also wish to arrange some red and purple series in the living room. However, if you don't see the red-purple series but see a large number of blue, blue, and green series, it is not appropriate. Because of the five elements, wood (green) and earth (yellow).
Note: Potted plants are not based on wood, but on soil. )
The rest can be used in white, which represents "gold", and blue and black, which represent "water".
Suppose someone likes to arrange more white series in the living room, and the color of the "gold" in the five elements is the white series, and the five elements are native to gold, so the yellow series mates with it. However, it should be noted that the five elements are golden, so if you choose white as the main color of the home, it is best not to use red and purple as a match.
The other black series, which represents the "water" of the five elements, and the green series, which represents "wood", can also be used. Just not too much.
Suppose someone likes to put a lot of blue and black series in their room. As mentioned above, because of the relationship between gold and water in the five elements, it is also advantageous to arrange some white series that belong to the "gold" on the five elements in the living room. However, if you don't see white but see more "earthy" yellow series, it is more inappropriate.
Because in the five elements, "earth" can overcome "water".
The green series representing "wood" and the red series representing "fire" are available, but not too much. As for the many mixed tones, the principle of Shengke is more complex and will not be discussed for the time being. In addition, there is also the phenomenon of "five elements against insults":
For example, in the five elements, water overcomes fire, but fire is more prosperous than water, and it is not subject to its restraint, but it becomes a situation of "fire and water dry". This is also a large area of red can overcome a small area of black, which shows that the five elements are balanced.
