<>The Yellow Crane Tower sent Meng Haoran to the Guangling Tomb
Tang Dynasty: Li Bai.
The old man left the Yellow Crane Tower in the west, and the fireworks went down to Yangzhou in March.
The lonely sail is far away and the blue sky is endless, and only the Yangtze River skyline can be seen.
In the fifteenth year of Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty (727), Li Bai returned from his eastward journey to Anlu, Hubei, at the age of twenty-seven. He has lived in Anlu for ten years, but many times he meets friends with poetry and wine, travels abroad, and in his own words, "wine hides in Anlu, and he has been stumbling for ten years". That is, during the period of living in Anlu, Li Bai got acquainted with Meng Haoran, who was twelve years older than him.
Meng Haoran admired Li Bai very much, and the two soon became close friends. In March of the eighteenth year of Kaiyuan (730), Li Bai learned that Meng Haoran was going to Guangling (now Yangzhou, Jiangsu), so he asked someone to bring a letter and asked Meng Haoran to meet in Jiangxia (now Wuchang District, Wuhan City). A few days later, Meng Haoran went east by boat, and Li Bai personally sent it to the riverside.
When he said goodbye, he wrote this poem "Yellow Crane Tower to Meng Haoran's Guangling".
Creative background: "Yellow Crane Tower to Meng Haoran's Guangling" is a work of Li Bai during his grand tour of Shu. Li Bai is a poet who loves nature and likes to make friends, he "has a good life to travel to the famous mountains", and has completed his life in roaming and wandering, and his footprints are all over the Central Plains and beyond, leaving many works that sing about natural beauty and praise friendship.
Translation: Old friends waved to me frequently, bid farewell to the Yellow Crane Tower, and traveled to Yangzhou in March when catkins are like smoke and flowers are blooming.
The shadow of the friend's lonely boat sailed away gradually, disappearing at the end of the blue sky, only seeing a line of the Yangtze River, rushing towards the distant sky.

Famous sentence] "The old man left the Yellow Crane Tower in the west, and the fireworks went down to Yangzhou in March. ”
These two sentences describe the situation of friends going down the river to Yangzhou, and the word "fireworks" dyes the willows like smoke and flowers like a spring light, and the melancholy mood when the poet bids off his friends is faintly revealed. The last two sentences deliberately describe the friend's "Western Speech", a lonely sail, accompanied by the poet's friend drifting to the distance where the water and the sky are connected, until the sail disappears at the end of the blue sky, but the poet still stands at the head of the building, staring into the distance, unwilling to leave. There is not a single word in the poem that talks about parting with sorrow, but between the lines there is a clear melancholy and nostalgia for the distant friend.
In the poet's pen, the deep feelings are contained in the moving scenery depiction of You's, and the love and scenery have reached a high degree of perfect integration.
Hope it helps
