What does that mean? It's that turnips and greens have their own love, and the difference in love comes from their different moods, or different karma, some people feel good about the same place and the same scenery, some people feel nothing, and some people feel terrible.
In Buddhism, it is said that "if the heart is pure, the land is pure", if your heart is not pure, no one will look like a good person; If the mind is pure, then everyone is a bodhisattva.
Let me tell you a true story of Su Dongpo:
Su Shi is a great talent, and Buddha Yin is a high monk, and the two often participate in Zen and meditate together. Foyin is honest and always bullied by Su Shi. Su Shi is sometimes very happy to take advantage, and when he goes home, he likes to tell his talented sister Su Xiaomei.
One day, the two meditated together again.
Su Shi asked: What do you look like me?
The Buddha seal said, "I see you like a Buddha."
Su Shi laughed after hearing this, and said to Buddha Yin: Do you know what I see you sitting there like? It's like a pile of cow dung.
This time, Foyin suffered a dumb loss again.
Su Shi went home and showed off this matter in front of Su Xiaomei.
Su Xiaomei sneered and said to her brother, as far as your understanding is concerned, what do you know about Zen people? It's seeing the heart, and you have it in your heart. The Buddha Yin said that if you look like a Buddha, it means that he has a Buddha in his heart; You say that the Buddha seal is like cow dung, think about what you have in your heart!

It seems that there is no classic that specifically states that being struck by lightning is a bad person, but everything has its cause and effect. But cause and effect can't be messed up. Good causes good effects, evil causes evil retribution, and everything has its antecedents and consequences.
But not necessarily as we see it. For example, there was a celestial being who was supposed to fall into the donkey's womb after death, but because he took refuge in the Three Jewels, he was saved from the suffering of the evil path by taking refuge in the merits of the Three Jewels. So, in terms of appearance, it became, this donkey went crazy, knocked over the master's things, was beaten, and slipped the tire, that is, the donkey fetus died.
From our point of view, it seems that the stillborn is very pitiful, but in fact, it is the heavenly beings who are free from the suffering of the evil path and return to heaven to be heavenly beings, so it is difficult for us ordinary people to see what is going on, so we can only say that we try not to create evil as much as possible, try to create good, no matter what realm we encounter, try not to think about evil, do not think about the bad, think about the good in everything, so that life can also live freely and happily.
Cause and effect are intricate, not as simple as one-to-one, so if you don't understand it, as long as you believe that good will be rewarded, it's fine. Sometimes it may seem like a bad thing, but in fact, it may be a good thing, and it's important to stay kind.

Any retribution should be considered from three aspects.
One is the fundamental sin, for example, if I have a heartbeat, I am going to kill him, and if I am sure that I have done so, then the fundamental crime is established.
The second is the crime of convenience, for example, since I want to achieve the goal of killing, I have to prepare knives, poisons, ropes, etc., or I want to borrow a knife to kill people and start to sow discord. These are ready, and the crime of convenience is established.
The third is that he has achieved his goal and killed him, which is called a crime.
Therefore, there are also differences in the corresponding retribution, for example, although there is a fundamental sin, but for various reasons there is no preparation, let alone killing, such evil retribution is much less, or even none.
There is a root and convenience, but there is no killing, because that person later died of illness, and such a bad retribution will be much smaller.
The three sins are fully established and the goal is achieved, so that it is the achievement of killing, or the achievement of killing (such as the butcher killing a pig) will be achieved in the future, and killing will go to hell, killing will become a habit, and it will fall into the animal path and even hell.
It is also possible that there is only a sin, such as not intentionally, it is a work error, etc., so there is also a retribution, but it is minor.
