The Buddhist name of the sixth of the eight senses of Buddhism is "consciousness". Consciousness is the human brain's awareness of the appearance inside and outside the brain.

The relationship between consciousness and matter: the relationship between consciousness and the material world and the phenomenal world, in Mahayana Buddhism, is typified by the Enlightenment Buddhism, with special emphasis on the material world as the manifestation of consciousness, which is the so-called idealism of Buddhism, rather than the existential position of the so-called idealism, which emphasizes the wholeness of the mind from the position of pragmatism, and does not advocate that the mind and consciousness are the only existence. Therefore, the so-called mind in Buddhism has no physical attainment (no self-nature), which is the fundamental principle of Buddhist teachings.

So, the sixth consciousness of Buddhism comes from the human brain.

In the Buddhist scriptures, it is said: (Knowing God is invisible, false multiplication of the four greats). Whether it's the brain, the heart, or the body, it's all the place where knowledge goes.

But consciousness is not in the body, nor is it outside the body. The brain is composed of material energy, and the heart and other body organs also belong to the four earths, water, fire, and wind. Consciousness manifests itself through the changes of the four earths, water, fire, and wind.

The sixth consciousness, consciousness, touches the first five dusts, colors, sounds, smells, and smells. The brain is the storage memory of color, sound, fragrance, and touch. But consciousness is not one of them.

Consciousness is intangible, immaterial energy within the bounds, and there is nothing specific to Chen.

The sixth consciousness in Buddhism refers to consciousness, which is a function of the human brain, not the heart.

All the cognitions here are not to say which organ it is. An organ is just a tool to be dominated. There is no such difference in true consciousness, but in order to make it more intuitive for people to understand, your mental domination is divided into so many cognitions to speak.

The first five consciousnesses can be regarded as the "input system" and the sixth consciousness can be regarded as the "processing system", so the "mind that can recite the Buddha" must emanate from the sixth consciousness and is part of the sixth consciousness.

    Amitabha

Ordinary people chant the Buddha, or they chant the Buddha with a delusional mind, that is, they also chant the Buddha with the six senses. But there is only one thought, and there are no other delusions, and the thought of Amitabha Buddha can be used to stop other thoughts.

Old Master --- Master --- reciting Amitabha Buddha and thinking about Amitabha? Thinking about Amitabha Buddha is still a delusion. I don't want Amitabha, I think what about the four words Amitabha?

It's also delusional. But this delusion, if there are no other delusions, only this one delusion, you can read kung fu into a film, you can read things without confusion, yes, you can die! You can't die with other delusions.

    But you can't ignore it.

The old master --- Mahayana Sutra said very well, "Sincerity is separated from thoughts, there is no thought in the true heart, there is no thought in the heart, there is no true heart, and if there is thought, it is called delusion." When we recite this sentence of Amitabha, is it true or delusional? To tell you the truth, it's delusional.

Do you still want to remember it? Why? You have too many delusions, and you use this delusion to knock out all the delusions, that's what it means.

Knock them all out, this sentence is gone, don't read it, the truth will appear.

The old Venerable Master --- taught you to recite the Buddha every day, hoping that the habit of the alayari head is the heaviest and the most powerful, and when it comes to the end, it will come out first and lead you to the Western Elysium in the future

1 When a man is dying, his eyes are no longer visible, and his knowledge is gone, but he is first given up. The ears are no longer hearing, the ears are also discarded, and even the nose, tongue, and body, there is no difference between the sixth consciousness, and the seventh consciousness is no longer attached at this time, and it is all discarded.

2 When the sixth consciousness and the seventh consciousness cannot be controlled, the remaining seeds of habit in the alayas will sprout randomly. Your alayeri's habit, whichever habit is the most powerful, it will work first.

3 Therefore, why do you want to recite the Buddha every day, so that you hope that the habit of the alayari, which is the heaviest and most powerful, will come out first and lead you to the Western Elysium in the coming and end.

4 It is here that I recite the Buddha's teachings every day, that is, I am afraid that at the end of my life, when the sixth consciousness and the seventh consciousness do nothing, the alayas cannot control it, and the seeds of good and evil contained in the immeasurable eons will be scattered here, and this matter will be troublesome.

The old master --- convenience of the Pure Land Sect is to concentrate on this name with a conscious mind, and the merit of the name is incredible. The name is indeed true, so holding the true name with a delusional mind, a conscious mind, is a true heart. This is the special feature of reciting the Dharma, and it is also something that all the Dharma does not have, so it is called the first convenient method.

This sentence can be attributed to this sentence at all times and everywhere, until it is recited to the extent that Kung Fu is completed, which is exactly the same as the so-called "contemplation" under the sect. To be able to read things without confusion is to take care of them; If you don't think about reason, you will see it.

The function of the sixth consciousness is "distinction," and all kinds of activities of our body, mouth, and mind are all at work by the sixth consciousness. (The "mindfulness" of the sixth consciousness initiates the activities of the body, mouth, and mind.) )

We have to correct our wrong thoughts and actions, and we have to practice, starting from the sixth consciousness. The same is true for chanting the Buddha.

The mind that can recite the Buddha is the sixth consciousness.

The five aggregates of the mind, the color is subject to the desire to act and know. Awareness is part of the aggregate mind. Consciousness and mind recite the Buddha, but it is not yet complete. I also want to continue to learn and understand the Dharma.
