Background:
This poem was probably written by Yu Shinan after entering the Tang Dynasty from Sui and receiving the grace of Tang Taizong. The poet's life was extremely bumpy, first serving in the Southern Dynasty Chen, and then Sui destroyed Chen, and went to Chang'an with his brother Yu Shiji. "After Yu Wenhua and killed Emperor Yang of Sui, Yu Shinan was taken hostage to Liaocheng," and fell into Dou Jiande again, and pretended to be a waiter of the Yellow Gate.
Taizong destroyed Jiande and joined the army for the Qin Mansion. Since then, he has been assisting Tang Taizong, and gradually became a high lord, and after his death, "he painted his form in Lingyan Pavilion." It can be seen that the poet has always adhered to the right path throughout his life, and has been careful in the troubled times, and finally met the Lord and achieved a good name.
This poem is a portrayal of the poet's diligence and self-encouragement.
